Dr. Janice Tildon-Burton, MD

I had my first child with her 22 years ago when my doc was off duty. She told me to stop making so much noise because I wasn't helping anyone. My first birth experience with her was awful. Thank goodness I had a great labor nurse.

I've been a patient of Dr. Tildon-Burton for over 25 years. She is professional, compassionate and cares about her patients.

My first appointment she hit it right on the nose. She requested my med records from this other doctor I was seeing for years and she was able to diagnose me with what I had suspected all along. My previous doctor was a know it all, she tried to be nice but when someone tells you the stabbing pain you have felt for years could be mental because of trauma you had the past run. Especially if you've been with your patters for 18 years and you know it's not mental you're with someone you love and trust. I started to believe there was something really mentally wrong with me. Dr. Burton listened to me took her time with me and followed up with me when my results came back. Her staff listened to me when I told them I had called on a snow day when everything was closed even schools and left a message trying to cancel my appointment for the next day beacuase the kids school would be closed and they verified it and dismissed the fee. Im so happy and thankful I went here after years of battleling… with endometriosis I finally got someone who cares and wants to help. Thank you Dr. Burton

The office staff has been consistently rude and I don’t know why I keep going to this office for the past 10+ years. I have to beg for prescription refills every year and made to feel as if I am inconveniencing them. They refuse to take calls on the weekend. My appointments are cancelled last minute. The doctor is very good but needs to run the office better.

Very professional, relates well to her patients. Really concerned about her patient total health. Great office space. Friendly staff.

I seriously don't understand why the reviews are so low. Dr. Tildon-Burton has delivered 3 of my five children. I appreciate her professionally friendly demeanor. I don't need a doctor that's just going to go on and on about the joys of pregnancy and babies. I need someone extremely knowledgeable and professional that I can trust. Not to mention she's the president of the Medical Society of Delaware. I've been completely satisfied and brought my oldest here when the time came for her to be seen.

A true professional and caring woman. I've been going to her for many years and it will be really hard to find someone like her if/ when she retires.

I honestly don't understand where do the reviews about Dr. Tildon-Burton being rude and not attentive come from. I am just back from my appointment with her and I really enjoyed it. I just had a miscarriage (not with her - I didn't even have an OB doctor yet), and she really made me feel safe and confident that I'm in good hands for my next pregnancy. She is not rude and she smiles. And even if she wasn't smiling - what's wrong with that? Pregnancy is not a circus. Maybe I don't understand the mentality here (I'm international), but entertaining the support group during delivery should not be the doctor's priority. I am looking for professionalism, not for entertaining and excitement. As for the general notes about her office - I really liked that they do all the bloodwork and analyses in the office. And delivery too. I feel more confident when I'm in the hands of one single doctor who leads my pregnancy from the beginning to the very end. We will see how it goes, but so far I… really like her

Not a good experience. I usually do not write reviews but here I feel like I should because pregnancy for women is precious and exhausting time of life. Look for another doctor.

I had my first baby with her. If you are pregnant, please don't have your baby with this woman, look for another doctor. She never smiles, has the worst bedside manners and doesn't care about you and your baby. I got to the hospital on labor on a Friday night to learn that my baby was on breech, something that I think she knew but she failed to tell me. They rushed me to the operation room for a c-section, she was extremely annoyed, imagine, how do I dare to ruin her weekend plans. She left immediately after my son was born, didn't say "congratulations", nothing, didn't even look at me. She never removed my wound dressing when I was in the hospital, didn't ever bother to look at my wound, and when I went to see her 2 weeks after my son was born, she finally looked at my wound and blamed the nurses for not removing the dressing, I was in a lot of pain and guess what, with an infection in the wound. I also had an infection on my breast, I was having trouble nursing my baby, and I had the… baby blues, crying all the time. I had a hard time coping with being a new mom and being in so much pain, but she couldn't care less. She prescribed me an anti-depressant, that I NEVER TOOK. She shouldn't be a doctor, she is a horrible person. She made the birth of my first child a complete nightmare.
