She fixed my double hernia and I was back up and walking while still in the recovery room. I did not require any pain medication at all after surgery. Within 2 days the little bit of pain I was experiencing dropped drastically. In less than 2 weeks, here I am back to traveling for my job. I highly recommend Dr. Meza.

She didn't even wait for me to get numb before she started cutting out my cyst and she didn't care one bit. She seems like a very angry woman. After the procedure I was left with a very wide and deep hole in my leg. She didn't even provide any paperwork on how to care for the gaping hole. I would not recommend this so called doctor to anyone! Very unprofessional. On the bright side, her receptionist was great.

I had a ruptured appendix while pregnant and was life flighted to PSL. Dr. Meza performed my appendectomy. I had many side effects from the appendicitis and was in the hospital for about six weeks total with Dr. Meza as my primary doctor. My impression of her is that she is very professional and is a competent surgeon. I've had other doctors remark at the small size of my appendectomy incision. I also required a second surgery after the appendicitis due to complications and Dr. Meza took me back as a patient that day and operated on me. She checked on me consistently during my lengthy hospitalization. My appendicitis had been occurring for several days before I arrived in Denver and I came to her in critical condition. Dr. Meza and the rest of the staff at PSL did a great job with what was a very bad situation and they saved my life.

I recently found myself in an ambulance on route to the ER, in extraordinary pain, with my vitals off the charts. The nature and coincidence of my symptoms were sufficiently peculiar to warrant a battery of tests before a logical diagnosis could be proposed, but it was evident very shortly after I arrived that I was in a life-threatening situation.If Dr. Mezas immediate response to her page was not unusual enough, on being informed of my condition, she interrupted her weekend evening without hesitation and headed for the hospital.In the meantime, after filling me in on the completed test results, and assuring me that the other results would be available as soon as possible, I remember the ER doctor leaving the room just minutes before a team of nurses surrounded my bed. They disconnected and reconnected everything to portable systems, and before I knew it, I was at the doors to the O.R.Dr. Meza was there waiting for me, and after greeting me, introduced me to each member of the team… that would be assisting her in the surgery, with a brief description of their roles. She then asked me a few questions before explaining in detail her diagnosis and the reasons for it, what my options were, and the course of action she considered necessary.Where I have little experience of surgery on my own person, my involvement as a parent in more than thirty major procedures undertaken by my child has exposed me to a comprehensive array of physicians over many years. Therefore, I do believe I have the credentials to declare Dr. Meza as among the finest surgeons I have encountered. So why do I find her so exceptional? Allow me to explain:Despite the pressure of a time critical situation, Dr. Meza was calm, exuding an absolute confidence in herself and her team. She left no doubt that she was in complete control; that she was undeniably the very best person for the job at hand. Yet, at no time did I detect the slightest hint of arrogance! Her empathy, personal interest, and willingness to accommodate my every concern were manners found rarely anywhere, let alone at a bedside.My next conscious encounter with Dr. Meza was her follow-up visit the next morning. Before the surgery she had told me that she would see me in the morning, and even told me what time to expect her. Well, she showed up within minutes of the actual time she had said she would, something Id never experienced before.After enquiring about my comfort and pain levels, she proposed a more specific pain management regimen. She then explained exactly what the procedure the night before had involved. Her discussion was remarkably absent any pretentiousness, at no time using language that might be beyond me, but also without condescendingly dumbing it down. She offered a very precise prognosis, with a comprehensive explanation of potential risks during recuperation. She then outlined my recovery process, and set up my follow-up visit at her office. She concluded by defining the conditions that would indicate that I was ready to go home, and left contact information in case I needed to get in touch.This comment would be worthless if I could not report that the procedure has been an unequivocal success, with every development throughout my healing occurring with no surprise: Dr. Meza called every possibility exactly as it was to happen.I cannot overstate my impression of Dr. Janine Meza. Merely checking the highest ratings in the categories offered does not do this physician justice. I feel privileged to be a patient under her care, and offer a most rare presentation: my highest recommendation of Dr. Meza as without peer, the exceptional practitioner in her field.
