The most disorganized office I’ve ever seen.

Have seen Ardis for a few years now, since she was on the Expressway. I’ve always had a great experience at her office. Not sure why the complaints, but Rose, the receptionist, has always been pleasant and sweet to me, and always has a smile. I’ve never had an issue with the cancellation fee but then I’m a responsible adult and make my appointments. Dr. Ardis and her staff are very knowledgeable about medications and have helped me a great deal. I feel both Ardis and Mike spend plenty of time with me and care about me. They’ve gotten me in with short notice when I’ve had some crises arise in my life and have always been there for me. I have to wait sometimes but that’s because Ardis loves talking to her patients and sometimes runs over. I see that as a plus not a negative. Even when she runs behind she always makes plenty of time for me and it’s well worth it. Don’t be scared by some of the negative reviews. Some of these folks obviously have mental issues so keep that in mind. I… highly recommend Dr. Ardis. I wouldn’t be where I’m at if not for her.

I have been a patient of Dr. Ardis for over ten years. She is qualified and capable, and I have received good medication management care over the years. Except for a few long wait times, I don't really have any complaints.

They canceled my appointment on my voicemail. So then I rescheduled.. But I found out I had to work that day. I called to give then their. one day notice but I was shy by 3 hours so they are charging me $50.I'm not going back. They are so rude and they don'tcare about their patients.

I’ve been a patient of Dr Ardis for well over 20 years. I’ve gotten to know her very well over the years and she’s not only my psychiatrist, but she’s a colleague and friend. She’s very skilled and knows what she’s doing. She’s stuck with me through good times and bad. She cares about her patients deeply. I’ve also known Rhonda, her office manager for many years, long before she ran the office. I see many on here complaining about her. Do what you’re supposed to do and be responsible and she’s exceptionally caring and nice. But she’s also the office manager...she has to protect the clinic and Dr Ardis and run an organized and efficient practice. She wouldn’t be a good office manager if she didn’t do that. Many on here are complaining about her no-show and cancellation fees. That’s pretty standard in private clinics these days and you know it up front so it’s not like it should be unexpected. A doctor’s time is valuable and not being responsible with making your appointments shouldn’t… be the doctor’s loss. She has a living to make too. Yes she cares about her patients and she’s there to provide a service, but she has a business to run too. In life, we don’t do work for free...that’s with any career. This isn’t a volunteer free clinic. Yes, she sometimes runs late, but that’s the nature of running a medical clinic. Sometimes it’s unpredictable when crises arise with other patients, and that’s not Dr Ardis’ fault. That’s not just with Dr Ardis. It’s with any medical clinic. Dr Ardis runs a first class practice and has for many years. She could’ve retired a long time ago but she stays at it because she loves her patients and loves her calling in life. I also saw one of her therapists Joyce Turner, LCSW, for several years and she’s also great. I trust Dr Ardis with my life and recommend her highly. Unfortunately some here have unrealistic expectations and expect perfection. No medical clinic is perfect. Do what you’re supposed to do and Dr Ardis will save your life. She has mine.

I was left waiting over an hour past my scheduled time with Dr. Ardis even though I had signed/checked in and paid. When I asked when I could expect to see her-it was as if they forgot I was even there, and I had to see another provider in the office. In addition-the receptionist Rose, is rude and miserable all the time. When I called on a Friday afternoon to check the status of a refill, Rose said “Call your pharmacy” and hung up the phone. Then, when I called right back, she had forwarded the calls to the answering service for the weekend and I could not get my refill. After that, Rose LIED to Dr. Ardis about hanging up on me, and when I told her she was lying Rose told me I needed to find another provider. Wow-you don’t say? Did she really think I was going to be back after that? SO RUDE.

I have been with Dr. Ardis for a while now and have had the same prescriptions for about the same time. I am on some pretty heavy anti-depressants and anxiety medication. I missed an appt and they denied to refill my prescription. So I went cold turkey off these medications. Psych medications are NOT something that you come off of cold turkey. When they did finally refill, they only refilled for the amount that I would need to make it to my next appt so I had to still pay the regular copay for medication that was only going to last me for 4 days. There are certain people there who are extremely helpful but, who just allows their patients to go through withdrawls and mess with chemicals that allow them to function. What happened to "first do no harm". Switching as soon as I can.

Dr. Ardis refused to refill a standing prescription for an anti-depressant because I missed an appointment (due to chemotherapy!). This refusal (without notice, by the way) borders on dangerous. When I canceled, I had requested that they call me to reschedule, but they never did. Prior visit was one month and a few days, but it was more important to get the missed appointment fee and an office visit than to help. Wait time is 1 hour+, even if you are the first client of the day.

You may have to wait up to two hours beyond your scheduled time -- you will receive no apology or explanation, because this is the norm for Dr. Ardis. She is minimally perfunctory at best, rude and dismissive at worst.
