Dr.Alsina has been treating my father's surgical oncology (colon) needs over the last year. She has always been extremely kind and compassionate- her professionalism and dedication to caring for others is extraordinary. She always takes the time to explain things to my father at his level and draws pictures in an effort to enhance understanding. Dr. Alsina, MD, PhD is a Board Certified General Surgeon and Surgical Oncologist practicing at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, MA. She trained at John Hopkins, and Mass General Hospital. When searching for a Surgical Oncologist I was immediately impressed by her credentials. After my first visit I found her to possess a wonderful personality: caring, knowledgeable, and pleasant (great bedside manner). I left her office with the conviction that I would be receiving outstanding care. From the review of her medical credentials, and my office visit, I believe I am in very good hands.
