Dr. Janka Katancikova, MD

This is the most unreliable and undependable physician I have ever seen in my almost 70 years of living. I have been promised a call back for almost a week, wait all day with the phone by my side and once again disappointed by her lack of care. I am a multiple sclerosis patient, and have been on the same medication for almost 25 years, she took it upon herself to change my prescription. after telling me at my last visit she told me that if I stopped this medication I could have a seizure or even a stroke. I would never trust to be in her care again.

I VISITED THE OBAND OFFICE TO GET INFORMATION ABOUT THEIR LAP BAND SURGERY AND DR. BAIZA WAS VERY HELPFUL. I WAS NOT ABLE TO DO THE SURGERY THERE BECAUSE OF MY INSURANCE, BUT DR. BAIZA AND HER STAFF WERE VERY NICE AND HELPFUL. BE SURE TO MAKE AND APPOINTMENT AND PROVIDE THEM WITH ALL YOUR INSURANCE INFO BEFORE ARRIVING. IT SAVES TIME. THEY TOOK ME IN RIGHT AWAY AND GAVE EM A FREE CHECK UP ON VITALS.

I needed a prescription refilled, and when I called to fill it, Chanel, the only nurse assistant Dr. Baiza has, told me she would fill it same day. I went to the pharmacy that day, there was no prescription. I went to the pharmacy the second day, still no prescription. I called Dr. Baiza's office, and was told she was not in the office on Wednesdays and Thursdays anymore and could not be reached until Friday. What kind of doctor becomes unavailable Wednesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays, without informing their patient? I am appalled at the level of unprofessionalism. In case of emergency, my doctor is unavailable 4 days a week. Despicable.

Every single time I order a prescription or prescription refill, the nurse informs me she will "do it right away." At the end of the day or the following day, I go to the respective pharmacy and no prescription has been ordered. Upon calling the office, the nurse conveniently "didn't have time." Following up two days later, she still has not fulfilled my request. This took to be a reoccuring incident for a year before I finally switched physicians.Apart from the lack of professionalism, I find the facilities to be unsanitary, especially for a doctor's office. Dr. Baiza is nice, but her only staff member is disorganized and unprofessional. I would not recommend this office to anyone.
