Dr. Jann Shiels, MD

Great listener, takes her time.

I have been going to Dr. Shiels for nearly 20 years. She is straight forward, caring, gentle, and very knowlegeable.

Dr Shiels was very professional and seemed nice, and very knowledgeable. The staff was courteous and caring. HOWEVER...I had a biopsy that the Doctor assured me, she was confident would be negative. She told me to make an appointment to "discuss the results" of my biopsy. I told the receptionist that I did not need an appointment to be told a few words, "your test was negative." She informed me that this was the Doctor's "policy." I have NEVER heard of such a thing. Charging for an office visit to get the results of a biopsy? I thought I had found a new Doctor. I will never return!

Dr. Sheils is great, however I feel a total disconnect with her staff and billing. I had a urgent problem and was told I had a balance that had to be paid off before she'd see me. After I researched this balance I discovered it was paid by me months ago - via her office. They negected to mark it as paid and it went into collections, which hit me with a fee. The office acknowleged the payment but refused to release the erroneous collection fee. I refused to pay it. To my dismay they could care less, thus lost a loyal patient.

I never wait more than 10 minutes for an appointment. She makes you feel like she really cares about your health and well being. Everyone in the office is very nice and helpful.

Dr. Shiels is very caring, personable and professional, extremely thorough and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend her to anyone who needs a gynecologist.
