Dr Holm and his staff exceeded my expectations for high quality care. Several months ago I had bunion/hammer toe surgery on my right foot at another clinic. I saw Dr Holm for the same surgery for my left foot. And although the first surgery was acceptable, I was impressed by how much better the experience was with Dr Holm’s care. I left the surgery with a splint that really protected my foot—not an open wrap like the first surgery. The doctor himself removed my stitches. Evidently removing stitches from a still swollen foot is pretty difficult. With the first surgery an assistant tried to remove the stitches which resulted in a great deal of pain. Eventually she brought in another assistant and they worked in it together. Dr Holm was very gentle and sensitive to any pain I might have experienced. He also did all of the casting himself. I found his attention to these procedures very reassuring and felt like it was exceptionally caring.
