Dr. Jared R Jackson, MD

Jared R. Jackson, M.D. is a BOARD CERTIFIED Ophthalmologist specializing in Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and Cataract Surgery. He is fellowship trained to diagnose and treat conditions affecting the eyelids, lacrimal system (tear ducts), and orbit (eye socket). He also provides medical and surgical eye care for Cataract and Glaucoma, offering advanced technology for standard as well as laser-assisted Cataract Surgery, Premium Intraocular Lens Implantation, and a variety of Micro-Invasive Glaucoma Procedures (MIGS).A native of Utah, Dr. Jackson graduated summa cum laude from Brigham Young University before earning his medical degree from the University of Iowa College of Medicine, where he was elected a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society. He completed internship at Indiana University Health Methodist Hospital prior to coming to the Dean A. McGee Eye Institute and the University of Oklahoma for residency in ophthalmology. McGee Oculoplastics and Resident Clinics and worked as a surgical instructor for cataract surgery for residents at the Oklahoma City Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC), receiving the Dr. Annie Moreau Fellow Teaching Award.
