Dr. Jaron B Coombs

I have a dysautonomic disorder and genetic condition. My heart monitor alerted me to having a cardiac event. I sought treatment at MatSu Regional. Dr. Coombs was the ER provider. He determined that my heart was fine. I asked the nurse how he came to this conclusion. "Does he have EKG vision or something?" The nurse left the room to confer with Dr. Coombs then returned stating, "Dr. Coombs says that you do not need an EKG. Your heart is fine." I asked how they came to that determination. The nurse stated, "Dr. Coombs listened to your heart and we took your vitals." Dr. Coombs never did an exam. He didn't use a stethoscope. As far as vitals go, the nurse had attempted to get heart rate and SpO2 via PulseOx, however, per the nurse, my hands were too cold and it wouldn't pick up. Regardless, PulseOx would not be adequate to rule out a cardiac event and certainly does not equate to "listening to" the heart or a thorough cardiac assessment. No exam with a known cardiac issue while in… crisis = "fine"?
