Dr. Jarrod Peter Kaufman, MD

It’s not often you encounter a doctor as caring and knowledgeable as Dr. Jarrod Kaufman. My partner & I needed a surgeon to fix his double abdominal hernia and we found Dr. Kaufman on the internet. His reviews were abundant and very positive. From the initial visit, we were duly impressed. His office is conveniently located, inviting, efficiently run, and his staff, Rachel & Eileen are professional & friendly. Having a little complication after surgery, Dr. Kaufman displayed his true concern. He called us on a Saturday morning from home! to see how we were doing. He made several accommodations for us, and we felt “heard” and that our opinions & preferences mattered to him. Not many health-care professionals are as warm and caring as this man. We highly recommend Dr. Kaufman! Kudos to a doctor who shares his skill & expertise with patients that actually “matter” to him.

Dr. Kaufman was referred to me by a family member, he is a wonderful doctor, he listens and answers all you're questions, a genuine gentleman. I'm having a procedure to a vein in 2 weeks and I am very happy I went with him(2nd opinion).Would also like to compliment his front desk receptionist, Sonia, very nice and extremely helpful.

I had high hopes with visit. Quoted price. Paid. Doctor seemed over booked. Did not explain my condition to my satisfaction. Did not follow through on his word. Staff did not follow up on quote for two different procedure options. Then sent me additional bill for no explainable reason. Obviously I will never return or recommend.

The office staff was friendly and helpful with making my initial and follow-up appointments. Dr. Kaufman was very thorough with asking questions, listening, providing a detailed diagnosis and treatment options. I chose to have my procedure in his office instead of the hospital operating room, which took less than an hour and was pain free. If it was possible to give him more stars I would. I’ve already recommended a friend to go see Dr. Kaufman.

Had a combined procedure with a for what I was told pre-operatively were two umbilical hernias (diagnosed via CT scan) and abdominoplasty in 2019 with Dr. Kaufman and a plastic surgeon. I was relieved that the reason for my recurrent abdominal pain was finally discovered and assured that it could be fixed. Abdominoplasty was optional but recommended at the time by Dr. Kaufman for an optimal cosmetic result from the hernia repair due to its location. So I agreed to the combined procedure. When he went in to operate he didn’t find any hernias, and the Plastic surgeon completed abdominoplasty as scheduled. His misreading of my pre-op CT scan caused me significant problems for a procedure I didn’t even need in the first place! I’ve seen him twice since then, once in 2019 and once again in 2020 more recently as I’m still experiencing some pain and discomfort. On both visits his demeanor was rude, arrogant, defensive and condescending. He did not listen to my concerns and frankly… doesn’t seem to care. I would NOT recommend this doctor to my family or friends. He hasn’t one ounce of kindness or compassion. Not only wasn’t my original symptom taken care of (abdominal pain) but it is worse with more issues now since this ill advised surgery.

I cant say enough about Dr. Kaufman. He is such a fantastic surgeon, friendly, and more so,he gave me my life back to normal. His staff is second to none. I would HIGHLY recommend him to anyone looking for a top surgeon. Thank you again for everything...

Dr. Kaufman is an amazing doctor. He has consistently offered my great advice on everything and has been spot on. I do not have enough to say; he is fantastic and extremely reliable.

Dr Kaufman and staff very professional, efficient and caring. They made a very frightening experience calming. I would highly recommend his practice.
