Dr. Jasmin Roxas Cabrera, MD

Dr. Cabrera was my mom's doctor. My mom died on Christmas day 2017 of brain cancer. Her fingers had been numb for months and Dr. Cabrera didn't think to send her to a neurologist, only sent her for rehab. It was ultimately my mom's cardiologist who took matters into his own hands and got my mom into a neurologist. When we found out my mom did not have much time, I took paperwork to Dr. Cabrera's office for FMLA so I could spend as much time as possible with my mom. When I could not get through to her medical assistant for two days, I took the paperwork myself. I was taken into an exam room and basically grilled as to why I needed FMLA. I was then told they can "take up to 5 days" to complete the paperwork, and was charged $25. They knew my mom was dying. I waited all week, I had dropped the paperwork off on a Monday morning. I called Friday morning. All the while watching my mom deteriorate so quickly. Of course I was unable to get her assistant on the phone, they are too busy. I… waited hours and called back at 1:30 pm. The office had closed for the holiday, the answering service said they would reopen the following Tuesday after Christmas. I never received a phone call back that Friday, or ever. They must have found out about my mom's passing the following Wednesday when the funeral director went to have the death certificate signed. I never received a phone call regarding my paperwork or my mom. Never. I had paid my $25 and was not refunded, even though my paperwork was never returned, because my mom died. This is the type of doctor she is. All about volume and payment, sadly not about her patients.

Shows interest and respect for me. Conveys competence and professionalism without seeming aloof. I feel very fortunate to have her as my primary care Dr.

I had a follow-up visit with Dr. Cabrera today. She went over the lab reports and discussed each vital number and what they meant. She also compared the numbers with the ones from the previous visits. She made sure all of my questions have been answered. I walked out of the clinic feeling great!

She spent time almost one hour to listen and discuss: - Health history of my family - Type of medication I am taking - My concerns about my health and my general well-being - New medication that she will give me I felt great after the visit. I am glad that she is my doctor and wish that I had her sooner.

She is awesome

I love my doctor, she takes the time to answer all of my questions. She treats me with respect.

Dr. Cabrera is an excellent doctor. She makes you feel at ease and is careful in her diagnoses. I recommend her without reservation to anyone seeking a doctor in the Quad City Area.
