Dr. Jasmine Diana Usher Ledet, MD

In the world of doctors that do not listen, do not even make eye contact, rush in and out of the room, Dr. Usher is the complete opposite of this. I am amazed sometimes at the time she spends with me, and how she works closely with me to provide the best solution for any and all ailments I have seen her for. Example: horrid migraine sufferer, family issue, have been working with 10 other doctors for over 10 years, and recently after 2 different attempts found an easy, low cost solution where I can get these beasts under control without hitting an ER. Outcome? I have my life back! That's just one instance where I'm summarizing the entire care, there was much more to the fantastic care she provided. Now, I saw one other review talking about how she doesn't care, and that's absolutely ridiculous. She's a straightforward type of communicator - if you want a #buddypalfriend, then you don't want a doctor. I'm going to her because I want the straight talk - if I'm gonna put my life in… someone's hands, I want them to tell me the truth and not what I want to hear. Yeah, I'm sure every doctor has a day where things aren't perfect, and/or the patient doesn't admit they are the source of the problem (even I after my 10 minutes of deep research on Google, I can think I know it all). I will 100% say, I have not had another doctor that is open to trying new treatments, doing additional studies and research into your personal issues, and will even consider my own suggestions; that's so completely rare. She will even provide additional things I can research to increase the efficacy of the treatments. If she doesn't know, she will also do whatever research is needed to give you the best possible care. So, I'll reiterate - she uber listens - she's intelligent, knows her field well, constantly doing additional research - she will immediately tell you if she thinks another doctor should be pulled into the mix (ex like a specialist, and will even help to select the best one) - she will tell you if you are doing something wrong, which I absolutely love, and not in a harsh way, she'll point out alternatives that will help you (again she's a doctor, not your buddy) & finally, she provides great care and wants the best for her patients. It's not just me, my wife feels the same way and we have gone to her since mid-2000 for dozens and dozens of visits. Don't listen to naysayers, she's a fantastic doctor and I would highly suggest to go immediately to her if you need a doc.

The only reason I gave her a one is because that’s the lowest I could give. If there was a way to take away stars I would. She is very patronizing and does not truly care about her patients. She makes you feel like you are ignorant and will not take the time to answer questions and is truly only there to make the almighty dollar. Is very arrogant and acts greater than thou. And is verbally abusive to her office staff which I witnessed first hand. The other doctor in the office does not seem to have any of these behaviors. Dr Hardin. Makes time for his patients and really cares. If you need a doctor in this area definitely skip Dr Usher Ledet and go to Dr Hardin.
