Dr. Jason Jon Chan, MD

I will never recommend anyone take their child to Dr. Chan after the way my son and I were treated. We switched to Dr. Chan shortly before my son turned 3 so it was his first visit with him. When he came in, my son was standing by him watching him and Dr. Chan was very short with him. When he wanted my son to lay on the table to check his stomach, my son did not want to and Dr. Chan became very frustrated with him when he wouldn't immediately lay down for a man he had just met. When I mentioned concerns about my son being constantly sick and wanting to postpone a vaccine until that was fixed, my concern was diminished and I was guilted into giving my son the vaccine because I "probably read some dumb anti-vax Facebook post or have some family member trying to talk me out of vaccines" and how he's a medical professional who's job is to follow the recommended schedule set by the clinic and I'd need to go to homeopathic clinic if I didn't want to give vaccines (mind you, I wanted to… postpone it) because 'we don't do that here', and how "if you take a car to a mechanic you don't doubt their diagnosis and [he's] sick of people questioning [his] medical training". People make mistakes. I ended up taking my son to ENT for my original concern of being sick and they discovered he needs his adenoids removes so I'm glad I did doubt it so that my son is able to get the care he needs and not be swept under the rug.

Dr Jason Chan has been a great Dr for our little boy. He is very knowledgeable and puts a new dad with lots of questions at ease!

Taking your child to this doctor is just not worth it. He is rude and condescending and makes you feel rushed. I have never had a doctor speak to me the way he did. I was appalled and disappointed and needless to say am finding a new doctor's office for my kids.

I've been debating for almost a year about writing this review. My overall experience with this practice has been exceptional with exception to Dr. Chan. I took my son to be checked out after consulting with my uncle, who is a physical therapist, after he had been complaining for days of leg pain and wouldn't walk on it. Dr. Chan barely looked him over then told me that it was all in his head head and that he would be back to normal soon. Then he told my son that we would give him "special medicine" (Tylenol) and it would make him all better. I was so mortified that he would say this. I left the office knowing my child was not making this up and later called to ask for a second opinion. When Dr. Chan called back he was very arrogant and said that if I wanted a second opinion that I should have asked for it while at the office. Very rude. I ended up taking my son to urgent care who took x-rays and blood work which we found that several things were elevated and got an actual diagnosis. I… only continue to take my children to this practice because of the other doctors and NP' s who have always taken the time with my children and my concerns. I will not let my children see Dr. Chan again.

This man should not be working with kids at all...very rude to my child who has a disability.
