Dr. Jason Ford

My father died on February 19, 2026 after weeks of a worsening cough and confusion that I repeatedly reported to the Bristal’s contracted doctor and which were repeatedly dismissed. Dr. Jason Ford was largely absent, leaving critical decisions to a nurse practitioner, Jared Newman, while I struggled to get answers for over a month. When my father was finally hospitalized, he had advanced sepsis, pneumonia, and a UTI, all conditions that were missed due entirely to Dr. Ford and NP Newman’s neglect and indifference. He died the same day. This was a devastating failure of care, communication, and accountability. Instead of a physical examination, tests such as an EKG and chest X-ray were ordered. Yet I was forced to chase down results myself. I repeatedly expressed my concerns and explicitly requested that Dr. Ford evaluate him. Those requests were dismissed. I was told by Dr. Ford’s office to wait until Dr. Ford was physically present at the facility to speak with him, days later and… only during a narrow window before he left at 1 p.m. This level of inaccessibility and lack of urgency is, in my opinion, entirely unacceptable in a medical setting, particularly when dealing with a vulnerable, elderly patient with known congestive heart failure. It is difficult to put into words the frustration, grief, and anger that comes from knowing that his painful deterioration and death may have been preventable or alleviated with more attentive, responsive, and physician-led care. I do not write this lightly. I write this because no family should have to beg for a doctor to see their loved one, only to have their concerns minimized until it is too late.
