Dr. Jason Douglas Harrah, MD

MissKate I give Dr. Harrah and his practice two stars. For the few times I was seen, he was attentive and helpful, although I felt appointments were rushed at some points. I am a caregiver for my elderly mother and over the years had to reschedule a few of my appointments due to not having an on-call home health nurse available for those days. I explained my situation when I first saw him and he told me I would never have worry about anything if I had to reschedule. I had an appointment in May that was rescheduled to June 25th because Dr Harrah was on vacation. I received a phone call on June 5th that he was not in office for my June 25th appointment and have to reschedule for July 10th. Today I received a letter and found out I am no longer a patient and was discharged from the practice. I called and asked a member of my care team what happened and if I still have my July 10th appointment and she sternly told me "You will no longer be seen at this practice". I left my job to become a… full time caregiver and now I don't have a doctor and have to all start over. My advice to patients looking for a doctor is to make sure you don't have responsibilities that can get in the way of your appointments..

After over a year, I’m looking for a new physician. Dr. Harrah called out this morning and the nurse called to cancel my appointment 30 minutes before my appointment. I was turning into the parking lot as I got this call, after I had travelled 40 minutes to get there. This has been an ongoing issue. I feel like the doctor knew at 6-7am that he wasn’t coming in and should’ve notified us sooner. I planned my whole day around this appointment with 2 small children because I needed help. I’ve worked for doctors at doctors offices for many years and I’ve never known a doctor to do this. Then his staff was rude on top of it. His nurse or whoever called me this morning was smug, snobby and condescending when I expressed my disappointment. She doesn’t know how to talk to people who are understandingly emotional. I told her someone should’ve called me sooner and she said, “He just texted me this” with an attitude. That doesn’t matter! He had appointments between 8-9am and he should’ve found a… way to notify patients sooner. Some of us don’t have the money to blow on gas to drive out here for no reason. Rude staff has been an ongoing issue too. I did call back and spoke with the front desk, they squeezed me in with the NP this AM. She was very nice and refilled my prescriptions. I told her I want to switch providers and maybe she could take me on, she said I would need his approval. I feel like I have a right as a patient to choose who provides me care especially when my provider isn’t meeting my needs. I have since contacted the patient advocate hotline and made them aware of the situation. I feel like I’ve been more than understanding with this office and Dr. Harrah, but I deserve better care and so do you! There are better healthcare providers in the area who will respect your time. I chose him and McLeod out of everyone, and now I regret that decision. Please save yourself the trouble and find somewhere else to go!

Probably the worst office staff I have ever dealt with. Rude and incompetent.

Called 8 am, 10 am again, voice mail So I spoke with someone else..stated my frustrations, not well, diabetes and need to get a ua..sect says come in 1/2 hrs for ua .ok I'm there..talked to sect again asking for advice on how to get a hold of someone..she tells me she's got 21 voice mails .hello your job is to call them back..she says to busy.why not hire One person to deal with voice mails in the am.4 hrs and patient are called back and HAPPY. It's now 7:45 pm and yet to hear from ofc or CVS with meds rx. So still have pain, and bloody UTI...if I end up sicker,who is going to claim that as their fault..? Sect is extremely rude, non caring , and thinks she's to busy..hire someone who cares about the patient and who they represent..you are giving the ofc a bad rapp! . .

He’s only as good as his staff and his office manager and his staff have completely let him down. And he has let us down by not following through when he said he would, and when he says he’s lost 9 patients and I tell him I am about to be number 10...he must not have genuinely cared. He has the skills to be a great young doctor. Unfortunately, he doesn’t have the people supporting him.

I LIKE DR. HARRAH ALOT BUT HIS ADMINISTRATION IS TERRIBLE 7 MONTHS A GO I HAD A APPOINTMENT HAD NO GLUCOSE STICKS COULD NO GIVE ME A FLU SHOT SAID THEY WERE NOT SET UP BILLING WISE YET DID NOT HAVE PNEUMONIA SHOTS MADE A APPOINTMENT FOR 6 MONTHS LATTER WHICH THEY CALLED AND CANCELED RESCHEDULE MONTH AND HALF LATTER WENT THERE ON THE DAY CHANGED IT TOO TOLD ME I WAS IN THE OLD SYSTEM FOR THAT TIME BUT IT DID NOT GET CHANGED OVER TO THE NEW SYSTEM AND THEY COULD NOT WORK ME IN AFTER I DROVE THIRTY MILES SORRY DOC IT IS A SHAME BUT I HAVE TO CUT YOU LOSE YOUR OLD PATIENT JOSEPH HANNA

This review jas nothing to do with Dr. Harrah hes great I hurt my back over weekend and went to office to get an appointment person at desl told me there were no openings and didnot know what she could do. I ended up at walkon clinic. I think there should be a slot for emergency visits.

Switched to Dr Harrah about a year ago woke up this morning with a fever and chills called and Dr Harrah wanted me to come in and get a flu test it was negative the doctor said I had infection in the lungs and said I needed three different prescription and to go home and rest I waited about 30 minutes and went to my local pharmacy nothing 30 minutes later nothing called Dr Harrahs nurse she said she would take care of it and wait there this went on with several phone calls for 3 hours instead of being home resting I continued to put up with this bull finally going on six I drove to the office Dr incompetent staff was still there after 4 hours of this insanity I told his nurse I wanted hard copies because she was incapable of doing her job she said she had been working with Harrah for years no wonder Harrah is getting praise and losing patients at the same time Dr Harrah is a great doctor he needs to read his reviews and get rid of the incompetence at 2 15 Harrah told me to get to… the pharmacy I got my scripts filled at 6 45

I went to Dr Harrah and I thought he was a good doctor. The receptionist however was very rude and unprofessional. She would not give messages and was very nasty. I think he will lose patients due to lack of professionalism from the ones working in his office.

These people are so rude, unorganized and disrespectful that is sad that they represent this very nice doctor. I will never go there again and I would never recommend them
