Dr. Jason Lee Hurd, MD

Dr. Hurd is very pleasant and, and he spent time explaining things with me. He explained the X-rays, and he discussed next steps.

Dr. Hurd takes his time to explain and answer any questions you may have about your condition both prior and after any procedure he may perform. Haven't had any issues with the rotator cuff surgery that he performed on my shoulder. I would highly recommend him.

I had Dr. Hurd last year for my left shoulder replacement surgery and now recently I had shoulder surgery on my right shoulder. He is very knowledgeable and explained each surgery very well; and the follow-up appointments with him are informative and he answers all of my concerns.

I did a “Tele-health” visit today as I live on the far side of South Dakota. This was a 6 week post surgery follow-up . He is always friendly and attentive asking questions that are needed to help insure that I heal properly. My local orthopedic surgeon had recommended Dr. Hurd for my previous shoulder surgery and I’m glad that he did. Dr. Hurd figured out the root of the issue that I was having from previous surgeries and how to fix it. I highly recommend Dr. Hurd.

Entire staff are friendly and prompt. Jason is very polite and professional. Direct and straight to the point!

My appt. was not with Dr Hurd even though it was supposed to be. It was with his PA,. I was not happy. He told me I had a bulging disc that Dr Hurd did not mention when I spoke to him on the phone and is not consistent with the report in my chart. I was not happy with the visit. He contradicted Dr Hurd in another way about my shoulder.. Not at all happy with the appointment. I will give this a five star because that’s what I think of Dr Hurd. But if I was rating the PA, I would give it a one star. I think you need to be careful of the use of PAs and nurse practitioners. Well wonderful it can contribute to lack of continuity of care which is exactly what I got and this appointment..

Dr.Hurd is very personable, professional, helpful, patient. He explained everything very thoroughly in a way I could understand. He has a very compassionate interaction. He was very patient with my questions, answering every question in a way I could completely understand! I would very highly recommend him!

With impending severe weather, Dr. Hurd made accommodations for my son’s appointment so we could still meet. He was punctual l, willing to listen, and thorough. Very happy
