Dr. Jason Tao Kan, MD

Went to the ER at Henrico and immediately had 3 nurses getting me hooked up. Not more than 2 min later Dr Kan was in my room asking questions. He ran a battery of blood tests and X-rays. What I thought was a heart attack turned out to be very bad indigestion. I was there only 5 hours and this was mainly due to waiting on labs. He visited me several times to see how I was feeling. Great doc!

He was a great doctor, he actually cared and took his time. You don't find that much anymore

He sent my daughter home after 20 minutes, saw no need to do imaging even though she was in pain at home and our pediatricians recommended imaging as a next step to finding the cause of severe stomach pain. Just because a 6yo acts normal in an exam doesn't give you the right to ignore the parents and pediatricians treating her! WE went to another ER the next night who LISTENED and told us it was common for kids to act different in the ER. She has since been dealing with an autoimmune disorder diagnosis.
