Dr. Jason Yun Kim, MD

Less than useless.

Dr. Kim is AWESOME. Great bedside manner with my 3 year old "challenging" daughter. I was stressed she was going to freak out as she doesn't like doctors but he was so laid back she just went with the flow. I appreciated the way he treated me as well (slightly neurotic concerned parent borderline annoying probably). Very thorough and knows his stuff. He didn't rush at all and answered every question and "what if" scenario I could envision. Genuine doctor - if he was in general pediatrics I would switch my kids to him in a heartbeat.

After reading other reviews, I was worried he would not have a good bed side manner. I found the opposite to be true. He talked to my daughter, asked her about her hobbies, joked with her. He answered all of my questions, even the ones I asked twice. Although her problem is thankfully not extreme enough to warrant continuous visits to CHOP, he set us up with a future plan of attack with our local pediatrician. He also sent us for extra tests just to rule a few things out. We were his last appointment and on the way out he held the elevator for us and talked to us in the elevator.

After talking with the fellow, we waited to see Dr Kim. When he arrived, the doctor was dismissive to the patient and argumentative with the parent. Regardless of his medical knowledge the experience was maddening.I would never go back.
