Dr. Jason Eugene Mcgowan, MD

I was extremely disappointed in Dr. McGowan‘s behavior and the way he treated me. His bedside manner is as far as I’m concerned unprofessional. I meet with him three times. He just kept getting worse every time I went to him. He dismissed my pain. He was very short with me. Either I wasn’t in enough pain for him or he just wasn’t interested in me. I’ve had 10 surgeries over the last 12 years so I have a lot of experience with doctors especially neurosurgeon’s since I’ve had six neck surgeries. I’ve never written a review before because I never felt so dismissed By my pain. His staff is more professional and empathetic than he is. The only thing he did for me was to refer me to another Doctor Who is going to be doing surgery on me so the years of pain that I’ve been in will be alleviated. My personal experience with him upset me so much that I am writing to not recommend him. Oh and I live in Winter Park. So I drove over an hour for a Doctor who is In capable of reading an MRI.

Was not able to stand for over a few minutes until the surgery.Dr McGowen and his team did everything they could have to change that .Thank you.

Dr. MCGOWAN failed my back surgery

He operated urgently at the beginning of the COVID crisis and I feel amazing.

Dr. McGowan was amazing in resolving my back problem (synovial cyst) especially right at the beginning of the COVID crisis.

Dr. McGowan is positive in articulate intention and confidence. He helped fixed my neck and made me feel comfortable. He follows through with post op care.

Dr. McGowen's entire team modeled a well informed and educated team that was interested in me personally, how I felt physically and mentally. I felt prepared before every appointment, due to well informed telephone calls. I was not surprised by procedures, or what outcomes I may face. This team is exceptional.

Dr. McGowan has a wonderful bedside manner. I felt very confidant on my first visit with him. I went into the hospital in excruciating pain, and left after surgery feeling just a little sore . I haven't had any problems from that day forward.

From the moment I met Dr. McGowan, he had a presence about himself that make you feel you are in the right hands. Most of my experience was translated 2nd hand. As I was being prepped to begin surgery, Dr. McGowan prepped my family on procedures and what was to be expected. When I say "my family" We are talking 32 people to be exact. After talking to everyone who had showed up to support me through the difficult time, the majority of everyone had the urge to speak of Dr. McGowan and how comfortable they felt as he spoke to the whole family. I constantly hear that I no doubt was in the best hand possible. From the way the incision was made to the way he speaks of interactions with my family, Dr. McGowan is there to see you progress in the best route possible. Sometimes you are going to hear/experience life changing moments. Being hands of someone whos confidence matches the compassion makes a world of difference. Words would never match the level of gratitude I have for this man and his… team.
