Dr. Niegsch provides comprehensive dental care and has special interest in areas of cosmetic dentistry, dental implants, and helping patients with bite problems, including TMJ.
He's been practicing for over twelve years and for Dr. Niegsch, dentistry is an art. To apply the most advanced treatment for his patients, Dr. Niegsch continues his post-doctural education with Dr. John Kois of Seattle, WA, a worldwide leader in dentistry.
Before joining Dentistry at Somerset, Dr. Niegsch spent three years as an active duty dentist in the U.S. Navy. Dr. Niegsch received his doctorate and undergraduate degrees from the University of Iowa. He is a member of the American Dental Association and Academy of General Dentistry (AGD). He is currently eligible to achieve Fellowship status in the AGD, as he has …completed over 500 hours of continuing dental education.
Dr. Niegsch's philosophy of care begins with listening to what his patients main conerns/goals are for themselves. After determining what type of risk factors they exhibit through a comprehensive exam, Dr. Niegsch offers treatment choices that fit into what is going on his patients' lives: work, school, family, budget, scheduling needs, etc. His goal is to offer a long-term strategy, not just quick fixes, to achieve excellent oral health and a smile one can be confident about.
Dr. Niegsch lives in Ames with his wife, Marcie, and their three sons. He enjoys spending time with his family, being outdoors, and training for his next triathlon.
