This is in response to the review from May 9, 2019. The guy’s money was returned. The patient’s father failed to let the office or the doctor until the last minute know the patients condition had worsened. The patient’s father knew on Saturday the child had gotten sicker but did not contact the office or doctor until Sunday evening when the case was schedule for the next morning. The proper protocol was followed by the doctors but the patient’s parent was unhappy with the protocol and took to harassing the doctors for a refund. Which was given!

Dr. Scherrell was scheduled to perform general anesthesia on my 7 year old daughter on a Monday. The Friday prior I called him to tell him my daughter had a head cold and slight cough. He told me to give her Benadryl through the weekend which I did. Sunday (the day before surgery) I had to text him and tell him that my daughters condition had not improved. He responded back saying that her cold was “a definite red flag for him” and that she should be symptom free for 1-2 weeks prior to surgery. WAIT A MINUTE!? What happened to the Benadryl two days prior?? What happened was that he was not going to willingly cancel or postpone the surgery which meant I was left with the option to either proceed with a surgery and put my daughters life in jeopardy or forefit my deposit of $900!!! I’m still fighting to get my deposit back. He should have advised me on Friday that we needed to reschedule and I would have been within the grace period to cancel. Now I don’t have the money needed to proceed… with the surgery with an honest dentist and anesthesia. What a shameful thing to do to a family. He baited me into either putting my daughters life at risk or losing money I desperately needed. Please do not trust this man. He has no reviews and credible history online. Why would he need to keep my deposit when it was his fault the procedure wasn’t canceled sooner?
