Dr. Susong and his staff are exactly what I look for when seeking out a medical professional! I had been struggling with the results from a prior diagnosis and MOH procedure from another practice. I did not receive the level of care that I had expected. I was left with a large scar and a feeling I was just one of many patients for the doctor. The doctor performed a MOHS procedure, and before the results came back, the staff, not the doctor, began stitching me up. When I asked them if she should wait until the results came back, she said the Doc had been doing this a long time and that if he thinks he has it all, we start with closure. So she began stitching until the doctor returned and said, You ruined my record today! And had to remove more tissue. Then, they waited until confirmation was received before beginning the closure. Fast forward, I needed another MOHS procedure on my eyelid. I sought another practice to get a second opinion and perform the procedure. Another… trusted physician recommended Dr Susong’s office, and I transferred my medical records to his office. I have not regretted my decision once! From the moment I made my first appointment for a second opinion, a plan was put into place, and the MOHS procedure was completed with a closure that is only noticeable if I point it out. The coordination between the doctor, medical staff, and another practice was seamless. So, needless to say, but will anyway, I have every confidence in my choice and Dr. Susong’s abilities to monitor and treat any dermatological issue that might arise in the future. I also have complete trust in his medical staff’s compassion and professionalism.

Dr Susong has done surgery on me twice once for basal cell and once for melanoma and I couldn't more pleased with the service and care.

I felt well informed during the whole surgical process. The staff is very supportive and willing to answer questions. The whole process flowed smoothly before, during and after surgery. I highly recommend Dr. Susong.

The Mohs method takes longer than regular surgery because each sample removed is lab tested, but I am thankful that by using this method, Dr. Susong was certain he removed all the cancer. Dr. Susong and all his assistants made me comfortable and relaxed, trusting in their expertise.

Dr Susong came in smiling and quickly and gently put my mom at ease by listening to her concerns about needles and cutting out the squamous cell. He is friendly and caring, very professional. He asked my mom what kind of music she liked and played her choice while stitching. While waiting for results during the procedure, the nurse/tech kept checking to see if we needed anything. So glad mom’s dermatologist recommended Dr Susong.
