I trusted Dr. Velez because he did an amazing, life changing surgery for my daughter. I have a 30° curve in my lower spine, and found out that I have a 20° curve in my mid back,which has begun to cause a lot of pain and muscle spasms. He said that a surgery would require rods "from my nipes to my lower spine". Then he said the curve in my mid spine would be at where my bra strap is, but I stopped him from touching me, and put my hand over the area, and said I could feel where the pressure is on my back. There was a male student in the room to witness.

Dr. Velez has been my back doctor for an extremely long time. He is always honest and forthright about what is going on with my back and my options for treatment. I trust him immensely to help me always make the best decision for my care. He is also down to earth and easy to talk to, which is a quality I appreciate in a doctor.

Dr. Valez is very professional, knowledgeable and easy to talk to. He answered all of my many questions and put me at ease about my cervical spine surgery.
