Dr. Javaid A Malik, MD

I do not recommend this dr. First, he does nerve blocks in Springville and Dunkirk only. So, if you don't live near there, don't even call for an appt. Second, this dr has you sign a contract, but HE does not hold up his end of the contract and conducts regular telephone calls, one week and two week intervals. Then, he had me into his office in two weeks rather than he said, a month. I have dealt with him for 1.5 months and he does not appear to be trustworthy. He said one thing then asked me to do another. He also lied to me and blamed my insurance for only prescribing meds a week at a time. It was not the insurance, it was him. I never experienced a dr who lied like that. wow!! I would not trust him to put a needle near my spine. Then, on top of everything, he left me hanging without any treatment plan or medication. I received a reminder call on Fri for the Mon appt. When I get there, he stated he does not have a treatment plan for me. The least they could have done was call me.… I wasted time, gas and time off work to go to his office. Completely unprofessional and lacks the ability to communicate good medical care with honestly and integrity. He appears to want to make unnecessary appointments, very close together so he can get the insurance payment and copays. That is a lot of running around and unnecessary expenses that I could not afford. Bottom-line, he was not interested in treating me, but making money and I called him on it. Guess I was right.

He was dismissive. He was uninformative and little to no help. He offered me no pain relief options the first time I saw him except to say until he sees my mri there's nothing he can do or prescribe. the second time I saw him me offered me a steroid infection which could not be booked for a month. In the meantime i was at a pain level of 10. I had been in 7 pain level for 3 weeks prior to getting my first appointment with him. I literally had to call my primary doctor from his office in tears. She looked at her copy of the mri and concluded it was severe and i had to be in immense pain she prescribed steroid pills for the inflammation and pain pills and muscle relaxer to help me through to my injection. She took the time to explain what spinal stenosis was and my various optional routines like heat and ice and stretching . I had asked him if he could recommend anything like heating pads he cut in and told me of course I should use heating pads he shouldn't have to recommend of that… (like I'm supposed to already know what to do) either way I reminded him that I already stated what I tried that doesnt work. He replied you'll be scheduled for injection theres nothing else i can do and literally just walked out the room. I have never cursed a man more in my life. I mean every name in the book. And I still wish him nothing but ill will.
