Dr. Javaid Rashid, MD

The doctor is great, but the receptionist is completely unprofessional. She has a terrible attitude and hung up on me rudely when I called to reschedule an appointment because my mother was sick. Great medical care doesn't make up for being treated poorly at the front desk.

I have been seeing doctor Rashid for approximately 3 years. Although, at times, the waiting time to see him can be up to 1 hour, I find it tolerable, and it’s worth the wait. That is, Dr. Rashid seems to care about my overall well being and mental health, and I trust his professional opinion and the level of transparency he presents it with.

My god, can’t believe he is a doctor.

Dr. Rashid has zero interpersonal skills. He is very insulting. There is no privacy in the sessions because he lines people up next to the door without any sound cancellation. I pointed out to him that he was being rude in a calm way and he asked me to leave and did not fill my empty prescriptions.

I have tolerated Dr. Rashid for a few months while I look for a new doctor. The only reason I even consider our visits is because I need someone to write refills for my meds. That's it. The waiting room is so small and always extremely over-crowded, to the point where many people don't sit down. This wouldn't be so bad, if appointments were actually on time. I have waited at least 20 minutes past my appointment time every visit and not once have they said "thank you for waiting" or apologized. The receptionist is dismissive and she hung up on me while I was waiting for the doctor to send a script he NEVER SENT. I have had to go 1-3 days without medication at least three times over the past few months because he doesn't call in the right medication or he sends it to the wrong pharmacy. My appointment today was for 5:45 and Dr. Rashid took me after 7pm and talked for only 5 minutes before giving me pills and sending me on my way.
