Dr. Javaka Kyle Moore, MD

I warn if you are pregnant or overall value being respected as a patient I would STEER CLEAR from Moore OBGYN. Dr. Moore is not only irresponsible but holds poor ethics! Their rating is appropriately low for good reason. Unfortunately, after leaving my first review, I was unable to secure another provider before my anatomy scan and decided to move forward with the appointment to make sure all was well with the baby. Today I received a call from, Brook the Patient Administrator and was informed that my next appointment was canceled due to my express concerns in my review. One would think after seeing my review Dr. Moore would have a desire to understand how care could be improved or address the unprofessional behavior of his scheduling staff. Instead, Brook made it clear that I was being discharged because I would not recommend the practice to anyone else for care. When I shared that I was not ready to cancel my next appointment because I have not found a provider who was able to… take a patient past 20 weeks, her response was that this request was made from Dr. Moore directly. Their behavior is both DISGUSTING and retaliatory. I look forward to reporting their practices to the Better Business Bureau and other appropriate agencies. Initial post: If you are pregnant, DO NOT choose this practice. The front desk staff are incredibly unprofessional. The care coordinators are inconsistent with the information they share with you and overall have a lack of empathy for the way is in which poor organization and management of your care impacts you. Dr. Waldrop was great during my first appointment. However, after requesting that my requests to work with her exclusively or ignored time and time again after being told this was possible. They also share appointment information with you via email and when you call back to confirm your appointment, the information is somehow different, increasing confusion. It’s unfortunate to look for practice with so many people of color as a black woman, and find them to be so dismissive. Would NEVER recommend!

Dr Moore is one of the best there is, infact, The Absolute best! He has a subtle way of calming you down when you have any pressing issues concerning your health and that of your baby. If any patient has any complaints, I'm sure it would be related to a few of the member of his staff, not him particularly because he's very good at what he does. My favorite staff of his is Christelle-She knows how to make you feel at home immediately you encounter her. He didn't compromise on whats best for me and I was grateful for that. I would be recommending him to anyone I know who needs an Ob/Gyn.

I love Dr Moore and the staff While Dr Waldrop delivered my two babies Dr Moore saved my vagina also Chritelle the nurse always go above and beyond for me. They are amazing, I’m moving 1hr and 30min away and I will still have Dr Moore as my obgyn I LOVE THEM ??

First off, the staff scheduling my appointments was horrible. Very rude and dry. The front office in the Greenbelt location looked at me like I was stupid every time I asked them a question. Wouldn't know about the doctor, never seen him. The Nurse was very rude with me. Should have known when I waked in and they were gossiping about other staff. What kind of medical professional talks to the staff like she's they're peer?

First things first positive notes, I must say the Forrestville location waiting area was clean. Now with that being said I was scheduled for 12:00pm appt. only to receive my registration forms at 12:30pm for no obvious reason. Time passed as I watched the chairs quickly fill and women who walked in far after me being called back I approached the receptionist, only to be lasked rhetorically & then told.. "oh they haven't called you??They should be calling you shortly". As I proceeded to my seat I heard a voice utter " I was about to call her" finally I was called back @ 1:07pm only to be triaged and sent back into the waiting area for an ultrasound, because as the assistant explained to me the US tech works on her own schedule. Slightly rubbed the wrong way by the comments, I politely went back to the reception area and waited, and waited it had gotten to the point where I heard and watched grown women begin to act like toddlers because they too felt Irritated from the wait. … As the clock approached 1:48pm and more time to think in that lovely waitng area, I decided this was not the office for me as I could not see things getting any better than they were. I returned to the receptionist and explained my concerns and wishes (and guess what??) ironically the us tech comes to the door and calls my name. How convenient?? I politely explained why I was choosing to leave and felt my time wasn't respected or valued only to have her turn head and address another patient. Yes It was definitely time to leave this place. I worked as a patient care coordinator for a top prosthodontist in DC and everything that happened to me yesterday would've almost most certainly required disciplinary action from the office manger and if cont. job termination. In healthcare your patients health, concerns & time are your priorities. In the staff I would hope skill level, professionalism & compassion are what you look to when choosing staff members. Not ego driven, nonchalant, unprofessional staff which represents you as a medical professional.

I came to this office for some pain they did a pregnancy test it came back negative I came back 1weeks later for the same pain problem and ask for a pregnancy test pregnancy test came back positive I already knew I was pregnant when I first walked in the initial visit that's what made me so disappointed because they give you misdiagnosis very unprofessional not timely manner ghetto I wouldn't send my dog to it's facility

I don't write many reviews but I am compelled to tell the expecting mothers that you can get more of a 'quality' experience elsewhere.... The customer service is lacking, it is hard to develop any type of relationship with a Doctor at this practice because u see a different one at every visit.... The foreatville location is very 'hoodish' ! I tried to give the practices chance but one day, while in his waiting room, I just decided that I wanted better customer service, a relationship with my obgyn, a nicer obgyn office, etc... I left and never looked back.

Worst experience I ever had as a high risk patient don't waste your time very ghetto and arrogant. Most of the time you see midwifes and he only cares about the $$$$$$$$

Dr. Moore is the best! I have thought about finding someone closer to me since I moved , but I don't mind the travel time to see him. This time I saw a midwife and the was new , but I had a really great visit. Thanks Moore OBGYN
