Dr. Ashley Izadi
Dr. Izadi's goal is to provide dental treatment to all of her patients in a safe and comfortable environment. She believes in educating her patients regarding the importance of attaining and maintaining oral health as part of an overall health program. One of her great pleasures is seeing the impact she makes on the lives of her patients and their families through dental treatment.
Dr. Izadi is a Baltimore native. She graduated from Towson University with a major in Biology and a minor in Chemistry before attending the University of Maryland Dental School - the world's first dental school. Here she completed an internship in geriatric dentistry and treated patients in the dental clinic of a nursing home and in the Baltimore Veteran's Affairs Administration. She also travelled to South Dakota for a rotation at the Pine Ridge Native American reservation, where she provided dental treatment to members of the Oglala Sioux Tribe. During her …training, she decided that her true passion is treating patients with advanced dental needs so she extended her education by completing a two-year residency in Advanced General Dentistry. Here, she trained in implant dentistry, esthetics, surgical dental treatment and advanced endodontics. At the completion of her residency, she was given the prestigious Harry W.F. Dressel Award for excellence in overall dental treatment and was asked to remain at the Dental School as Dean's Faculty.
Since graduation, she has completed hundreds of hours of continuing education, including courses in esthetic dentistry, implant dentistry and bone grafting, and IV sedation. She is active in many professional organizations including the Academy of General Dentistry. She has taken part in dental mission trips to provide dental treatment to those who do not have access to care.
In her spare time, Dr. Izadi enjoys gardening, baking, snowboarding and reading. She is an avid runner and biker, and enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband and their two dogs. She loves all things Baltimore, especially the Orioles and the Ravens.
Dr. Izadi always greets her patients with a friendly and comforting smile. She strives to give every patient a beautiful and healthy smile and is committed to empowering her patients with the knowledge needed to ensure long-lasting dental treatment. She works especially well with anxious patients, and encourages her patients to ask questions regarding their dental treatment.
