Dr. Javier Morales, MD

I have been a Pt of this Physician for over 20 years , he is knowledgeable, compassionate and punctual. Recently I recommended a close friend to him. She was reluctant because there was a negative review. Let me comment in this , everyone can have an off day ! Doctors too have Problems, perhaps they just lost a Parent, or they are going through a divorce etc .. the point I’m making is this , if this Doctor served you well for years don’t rush home and write a negative review which is there for everyone to see, don’t rush to impulsive Judgement, before you hit the keyboard, remember how often he took care of you when you spur of the moment needed him . Be grateful!

Best Dr ever, he dedicated his time to his patient and I believe he worries to much about his patients always on top of everything ?? I will never change him

Dr Morales is not only a compassionate, wonderful Doctor but also a great Diagnostician! I’ve been his patient for over ten years , he takes time to listen and isn’t overly aggressive with treatments, also he makes sure you are seen in a timely fashion, rarely does a patient have to sit for a long period in his waiting room and be exposed to Germs .. I had what I considered an issue yesterday and he saw me though I had no scheduled appt , I recommend this Doctor highly to my Family and Friends!

I recently started using Dr. Morales and today I am actually very sorry that I even started I put a call into his office this morning asking for a return phone call on a medical question that I had. I was wondering if I had to go into the office or not for something. He called me back so rudely and cut me off, the person that was sitting next to me in the car said to me “wow that’s your doctor I would never go to him”. I have recommended people to him but I will tell you I will call them and tell them to make sure that they do not step foot in that office and I will go now to yelp and everywhere that I could to put in the worst review.

This is the Physician you want if you have multiple health issues. Whether you have a sore throat or a serious digestive problem he will have answers or seek them . He’s not above referring you to a specialist if needed . He is very compassionate and always makes time for you , even if you’re a “squeeze-in”. Recently I had to be hospitalized. In spite of the fact that it was his day off , he came to my bedside and assured me that he will oversee my care and indeed he did . He’s passionate about finding a resolve to what ails you , a powerful force when met with a challenge. I can highly recommend this Doctor.

some patients may be happy with the care that they are receiving another's may not. I think it is fair to say that I try to implement latest modalities of therapy and am readily available for any questions and comments concerning the care that I render. I am greatly involved in continuing medical education, which most perceive as a benefit. I do realize that everyone is different and everyone's level of expectation is variable. Nonetheless, I was give my best effort, along with my staff, to provide the best quality and competent care in a culturally sensitive fashion. For those who feels they may not be getting the true attention or quality they deserve, please accept my apologies and do hope to improve on some of these shortcomings. For those that feel I am performing to my expectations, then thank you for your candid comments. I do realize there is room for improvement in most all that we do.

I have known Dr. Morales for may years and I must say he has become quite full of himself. He is more concerned with his conferences and lecturing you on what he thinks you are doing wrong than working with you to find a solution. No longer "the best internist one could find". Very disappointing. I will be changing physicians for sure.

He thinks he has a solid agenda. Problem may be, he prepares very well for the medical challenges he faces with his patients. - Can't throw away the Text Book as he prepares, type. He's still probably a young doctor; missing a key person on staff.

Where do I start a review of a doctor that has done so much emotional damage to an 88 year old and her family? Dr. Morales, my mother's primary care doctor of many years, walked into her hospital room on the day she was discharged from St. Francis Hospital in Roslyn NY to tell her that she had a brain tumor, a terminal disease. He did not consider asking to have a family member be present....he simply spit out the diganosis. Why? to feel like a demi-god? What is the reasoning Dr.? I had specifically asked all the staff members to not say anything to my mother about her condition, wanting to explain it with a doctor, my brother, my mother and myself present. A glibotastoma is no small medical condition !!! I was flabergasted when a nurse told me that he had walked in the very day she was discharged and told her in detail her diagnosis with no family member present! I thought that perhaps my mother had not understood Dr. Morales' medical explanation however, she was… extremely sad and quiet when we brought her home. Our cousin, a medical surgeon, my brother and I specifically set aside time to explain to our mother her medical prognosis. After having explained everything in detail, to our astonishment and dismay, she told us that she knew everything because Dr. Morales had given her the information when she was alone by her hospital bed. She hadn't said anything because she didn't want to cause US grief. How dare he! Where are his ethics and bedside manner? We had given specific instructions at the hospital not to mention her brain tumor without family members present. Oh! but it doesn't stop here. No! After 3 weeks of hospice with absolutely not one call or visit from Dr. Morales, her primary health care provider of many years, we received a call from his office asking if she was going for her routine check-up! Of course I asked to speak with the doctor and when I confronted him with what had happened he TOTALLY DENIED HAVING SEEN HER AND HAVING A CONVERSATION WITH HER AND ASKED IF I HAD WITNESSES!!!! I asked him if the nurse, my mother, my bother, my cousin, and myself were enough witnesses for him. Because the phone was on loud speaker I also have a witness of the telephone conversation that I had with Dr. Morales where he denied that he had so much as spoken to my mother at the hospital saying that he had been at a conference. All he had to do was to apologize----------give an explanation, say that it's his job (???) whatever, but to lie, deny what happened is beneath what is expected of a professional with dignity. His only interest is money based with no regard for patients and their well being. A doctor to be avoided in my eyes.
