Dr. Javier Bolivar Rojas, MD

Dangerous. He didn't think I'd remember after he'd knocked me out without my consent. He is not allowed back at the hospital he visited. Stay away from him.

This man has told my mother that she can’t be discharged unless she take a medication that he wants her to take. The medication clearly says that it is not safe for elderly patients exhibiting signs of dementia. She is 72 and exhibiting signs of dementia. We are seeking legal action.

This man put me on 8 medications, 3 of them sleeping pills, the other were for bipolar disorder (I do not have bipolar disorder), and refused to listen when I told him the negative effects I was experiencing. He spoke to me for maybe 2 mins before deciding I was now bipolar. He told me if I did not take everything he gave me I would not see my kids again. I am now pursuing legal action against the hospital he works at after having withdrawals from the meds he forced on me, I had boils on my body from an allergic reaction to coming off of them, as well as constant dizzy spells and fainting. I could not function for over a month after leaving that hospital and I hope he loses his license and never forces medication on anyone again.

I have been going to him for a couple months now and I have never felt this good in my life. He has helped me a lot. He is very sweet, caring, down to earth, and knows what he is doing. I highly recommend him if your looking for a psychiatrist in the hickory area. He also does not just give you a lot of medications just to see which one works. Great provider. 10 stars in my book.

I recently moved to N.C. & needed a psychiatrist for medication management. I worked for over 20 years as an RN & I wouldn’t recommend Dr. Rojas to anyone. He ordered a medication with an ingredient that I’m allergic to. He never responded to me or the pharmacy for 7 days, which is unacceptable.

He is great, patient and an excellent listener.....took only a couple of visits for me to feel incredibly better on new meds. I highly recommend him
