Dr. Jawahar Swaminathan, M.D., M.P.H., is an experienced physician who has served the Columbia, South Carolina, area for more than 25 years. He has helped travelers prepare for international trips for over 20 years and is a member of the International Society of Travel Medicine (ISTM).

Dr. Swaminathan completed his Preventive Medicine residency at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine. He earned a Master of Public Health from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and a postgraduate diploma in Health Management from IIHMR in Jaipur. He placed first in the MCAT and received his M.B.B.S. from JIPMER in Pondicherry, India.
