There are no words to express how AMAZING Dr. Jay is. I have searched to find a dentist for my daughter and I since moving to Charlotte 8 years ago. However, all that seems to exist are money hungry vultures with a degree in dentistry. I broke a tooth on Friday night and feared I would have to get it extracted. I started calling around for emergency dentists and it was as if they all used the same script. $100 for XRays and examination (does not include any treatment recommended) because they cannot verify insurance on Saturday’s so basically give us $100 and we’ll give you some medicine to make you comfortable. This was not the first time that I experienced a dental emergency, so I was prepared for exactly what I got from these other offices that call themselves dentist. God must have sensed my urgency and frustration because I came across Dr. Jay’s office on google, and one thing that immediately got my attention was that he was a private dentist, and not a corporate mogul like… Friendly Dental, Night and Dental etc… When I called his wife answered the phone and was extremely caring. She asked me for my insurance information and set an appointment for me to see Dr. Jay at 4pm that afternoon. I was a little skeptical because she did not mention price at all, this was out of the ordinary. My skepticism was relieved the moment I sat down with Dr. Jay. This man took Xrays on my mouth, showed me on my xrays that a root canal I paid friendly dental for was not done. He educated me on the process of a root canal to the point that I felt I could do one if I tried. He went over all my options, including the fact that he could save my tooth and complete a root canal. I was elated! At that point I would have paid Dr Jay above average because of the service he was providing to me, but there was no need to because this man truly cares more about helping people than he does about the money. Dr. Jay and his wife stayed at the office until 6pm doing my root canal, and after it was all said and done I paid him virtually the same thing for the cost of an xray and exam at the places. This dentist and his wife are so personable and caring. I would not dream of going anywhere else now that I have found Dr. Jay.
