I have never experienced such a bad experience from a doctor. Nonetheless Obgyn. I left the office in tears. I am going for a study for endometriosis and he kept repeating the same questions. Not once but at least 4 times. Over and over again like I didn’t respond. I explained my pain is different from my IBS and he said how would you know? I know my body. He repeated the same question saying. I was just not getting anywhere past that question. “How do you know which pain is what?” I even went into detail and he says that’s not what u said before. I was completely shocked. For you to question me many times to act like this is all in my head is absurd. I’ve been in this study for three months and now it’s a problem? I have been a healthcare professional for almost 20 years. I work in the ER department at a major hospital. I have never seen this type of cynicism before. I was not understanding why? Is it there a problem? Am I answering it right? I told him I feel like something wrong… about his conduct of questioning. If I can’t answer you correctly, I guess I can’t do the study. He said OK. My time and my thought of getting better was diminished within 10 minutes. I don’t know if it was the color of my skin or if it was because I was late, but I have never been treated like an uneducated woman that have no clue about her body. I will let it be known that you are handling people lives and you can ruin hopes of WOMEN getting better. He callously did that today. Shame on you. First and last time meeting him.
