Dr. Jay C Cagata, MD

From the start Dr. Cagata has great bedside manner. I’m 34 and had to get 3 wisdom teeth extracted. I was terrified bc of other people telling me about there experience and that dry socket is the worst pain ever. I was awake thru the whole thing. I did not want to be sedated. He gave me a small dose of Valium before and numbed all of my gums. It was much easier than I thought bc he explained everything as he was doing surgery and made I was comfortable the whole time. The staff was excellent as well. Never got dry socket followed instructions....very important! Highly recommend! Actually was happy to go for my follow up visit!

Amazing Oral Surgeon and Very Nice. Dr. Jay Cagata and his staff are so warm and helpful. Dr. Cagata and his assistant are a funny team. The best part is the lack of pain after having my wisdom tooth removed. I kept thinking that when the numbing wore off it would hurt a good amount but it was only a little sore. The very next day it felt similar to the little irritation I had back by the tooth prior to being removed. I am grateful I had the Best Oral Surgeon, in my opinion. Thank you Dr. Cagata and Staff

Dr. Cagata is awesome! I felt very little pain if any when he extracted my wisdom tooth and his bed side manner was wonderful. He alleviated my fears since I hate going to the dentist like most people do. I would go to him again if needed and highly recommend him and his helpful staff.

I was dreading getting my tooth out (based on past experiences with other dentists), but Dr. Cagata got it out quickly and painlessly. It wasn't even very sore afterward. After the first day, I was fine with just Advil. And he is very pleasant as well as extremely competent

Maybe this will help if your looking for an experienced knowledgable Doctor. If your looking for a Doctor who has 30+ years experience, deeply cares about his patients, and puts you at ease while doing the procedure, then look no further. I was told by a previous Oral Physician that if i had my impacted wisdom tooth pulled i would possibly be numb on my lip for life and my chances were high. My tooth was on the nerve that runs along the jaw line. When i searched for a good Oral Surgeon, I found Dr. Cagata. I read that he was experienced, Funny, Caring, thorough, etc...AND everything turned out to be 100% accurate. He Performed surgery and took my tooth out in sections instead of just pulling it. He basically dodged the nerve, which is amazing! Today my tooth is out, i have no numbness, and its a great feeling. Thank god for this guy...I went 20 years scared to get it pulled but i finally had no choice. If you are in my situation or not, i would look no further . Dr. Cagata… is your Doctor.

Dr. Cagata took out roots from a tooth which had been removed by another dentist. This was a difficult procedure, the root kept breaking up, but Dr. Cagata gave careful care, and I think he did a very good job. I received prompt and careful attention from him and his staff. Billie Habermehl

Dr Cagata is excellent! He spent a lot of time with me, really listened & ultimately was able to diagnose a chronic problem when several other physicians had been unable. And that wasn't even the reason I was there, it was just a bonus! His intelligence, humor, attention to detail & willingness to really think about the problem makes him the Doctor I recommend to everyone. Love him!

I won't go anywhere else!!!

After a long wait to get an appointment for an extraction, I finally made one & I was on time for the appointment & after 1-1/2 hr they informed me that he was running late & that he would only see me without doing the extraction & that I would have to make another appt. for a later date while I am in pain with the tooth. I called another dentist right then and told them that I was cancelling they did not even say they were sorry, they seemed happy that I was going to another dentist. By the way I am a cash patient with no insurance so they would get paid right away. Very poor experience and without meeting the Dr. I would not recommend him from this bad experience.

I have, based on several visits, the utmost confidence and respect for Dr Cagata's professional competence and his willingness to take all the time necessary to fully explain everything relative to the procedure being proposed.
