Dr. Jay Lyall Crary, MD

Dr. Crary is very informative from 1st to end visit. He gave me all options to fix my ankle and what he would recommend. I had a ankle injury that he was the only one that could fix. He and his staff are always professional and friendly.

Dr. Crary has a fantastic bedside manner and is a true expert. I found him to be the ideal doctor to care for my painful ankle.

I have nothing but praise for Dr. Crary and his entire staff--from the check-in desk to my discharge. Everyone was professional, encouraging and helpful. I also highly recommend his PA, Mary Zucconi. Dr. Crary was very good in listening to my problems, reviewing my foot and ankle. Ordered appropriate xrays and discussed various steps we could take in solving the problem. We are starting with a non-surgical step first but he also said if this didn't work here are the next steps. I feel we have a good plan as we work through this.

Dr. Crary was able to objectively address the problem, convey a solution, then provide and structure and guidance for the best outcome.

I gave Dr Crary a difficult task - repair a ruptured Achilles’ tendon five weeks after it was torn. Despite my much less than optimal circumstances (60’s), he restored 100% function and I walk without a limp.

Pulls of sock on my left foot, bends toes to floor and back twists my foot left and right, causing pain, told him hard to walk on that its the top of the ankle and directly at heel and arch in foot, confirmed fracture by 2 DR and 3 PA's, I can see break on upper ankle in xray, he doesn't show CT Scan, his manner was lazy and didn't want to answer questions as I have the xray showing bone is cracked. Horrible bed side manner, no compassion.

I had visited two doctors before Dr. Crary, and they were awful experiences. I was complaining to my friends, and one told their mother who has been an physician in the area for 20 years, and whose daughter had multiple foot/ankle injuries. She recommended Dr. Crary (the one she trusted for her own daughter) and I could immediately see why! It was the first physician appointment where I felt my questions were heard and my options explained thoroughly. I have complete confidence in my recovery. I would recommend him to anyone, especially those who are very cost-conscious about their recovery strategy. (That's where his explaining really shone above the rest.)
