Dr. Jay V. D'orso, MD

Dr. D'Orso has been my children's pediatrician for eight years. He is an excellent doctor. He's warm and has a great demeanor with the kids, but he's also extremely knowledgeable and relates well to parents. We love that he is conservative and takes our concerns seriously. From the smallest problem to something more serious, he gives my children the time and attention they need. If you're looking for a great pediatrician, Dr. D'Orso is the best!

Dr. D’ Orso is one of the best pediatricians! I drive over 30 Mins to bring my 3 young kids (6, 4, and 3) to him and they love seeing him! When my one daughter had a serious infection on her face that required surgery to remove Dr. D’ Orso is the one who sent us to the children’s hospital in Hartford to make sure she received the best care for what she had knowing that they had the right equipment and staff to handle the situation, and personally contacted the surgeon and disease specialist to make sure she was receiving the best care. He’s always patient with us when we come, always takes the time to answers all of my questions and I never feel rushed. He’s amazing and we would travel where ever he was!!!

When we moved to Ridgefield a few years ago, we searched for a doctor that all of my family could see. We found Dr. D’Orso through a recommendation of a friend. He has been wonderful ever since. From caring for my little ones when they are sick, helping my daughter when she had sports injuries, and all of my children’s yearly physicals, Dr D’Orso has been wonderful. He genuinely cares about the health of my entire family. He has been proactive in our healthcare and does not overly prescribe meds that my kids do not need, as many of our past drs did. We never feel rushed when we see him and my children all feel comfortable talking to him. I highly recommend Dr D’Orso.

Coming from a family of physicians, I understand how difficult it can be to practice medicine today. After moving to the area, we searched for the best of the best. My husband and I wanted someone who would take the time to listen and someone who was extremely thorough. When it came to our children, we needed the same, but more importantly, someone who was pro active. Someone who would care for our children, like he would his own. An MD who was smart, caring, kind and approachable. All of this and more, we found in Dr. D'Orso. His expertise and follow up are second to none. We highly recommend him!

My family and I have been seeing Dr D’Orso for 15 years! We have four children , two boys and two girls , and consider Dr. D’Orso to be an excellent doctor . We have a busy and active family and we have always been able to count on Dr DOrso even through some tough times . He is reachable , approachable and knowledgeable . What more could you ask for .

My daughter Brooklyn loves Dr. Dorso. He is a very professional and caring Doctor. He has gone out of his way to get my daughter an appointment in a very demanding neurologist Doctor. We have a 30 minute drive to get to the Doctors and do not mind making it when he is our Doctor we see.

He’s the reason we drive 20 mins to the dr office from where we live. He’s wonderfull w my daughter. When she was 2 he was the one who diagnosed her w Kawasaki disease a rare disease that effects the heart if not treated quickly he swiftly took action and got us into Westchester Medical Hospital where we would see one of the best pediatric heart dr and continued to monitor her and check in while we spent a week in the hospital, he even gave me a direct contact number to reach him while we were there just Incase I needed anything or had questions. He cares about his patients and wanted to make sure she was taken care of. He is patient w me and all my questions w out making me feel like I’m annoying him. He is amazing hands down best pediatrician, I recommend him all the time.

I was not feeling well, Dr. Dorso took the time to check me out and explain the plan of what needed to be done as well as offered me the chance to go to the emergency room. He stated more testing could be completed there. Thank you again. I am feeling so much better and I will be referring you to my friends.

Best in town, hands down!! When I first had my daughter I was the only one with a pediatrician who would call me at home after she was sick to check up on her!! I have never felt rushed during a visit and is great at diagnosing.

My kids love Dr. D'Orso. He has been caring for all my children since they were born and I wouldn't take them to anyone else.
