Dr. Jay Stuart Epstein, MD

Very kind and helpful.

We Used Dr Epstein for years for our 3 children. When they reached puberty he changed and he began injecting and even “insisting” we handle our personal issues As parents and as a stable, long married committed couple in a manner completely opposite of our moral beliefs. It became so bad that when Our youngest daughter was becoming rebellious he encouraged her to be “sexually permissible” to others Who WERE making advances TOWARDS her. She ended up running away from home because of the issues and we had to get the police involved to bring her home due to the fact she was a minor . When we needed his help the most he supported her Immaturity and inexperience by encouraging her. He even insisted that I get a divorce which had nothing to do with our issues as parents and why we were seeking his help. He did not encourage family counseling. He crossed the line with interference and Personal unsolicited advice. I’m happy to report we are celebrating our 41st anniversary today and… our daughter is a beautiful, happy, college educated adult who has followed our moral compass. And we have a strong loving healthy relationship with this beautiful gifted young lady. I’m glad we had Dr Epstein for things that he did help over the course of those early years but, I am more happy we followed our parenting instincts, stood our ground and broke away because there are things that cannot be taught in medical school, .....always trust your instincts with your children. The doctor needs to stick to medicine and not interfering in things that are not his place to inject his personal opinion. When we NEEDED him to stand with us as parents in OUR moral values, he was very liberal which went completely against the grain of our parenting. Who wants a doctor encouraging their 16 year old girl to have sex. Yes, he said to her to go ahead and have sex. We were floored. He did talk about birth control. That’s not the point. Our social moral ground was completely shaken by what we were hearing. We broke away from his practice that day after having been so dependent on him and his practice for nearly 2 decades. We lost complete faith and trust. Parents be very cautious and vigilant

Have used Jay Epstein for 18 years and quite frankly the man crossed the line today. Rude, Unprofessional and may have even violated Patient Privilege. Trying to decide if I am going to contact my attorney or just let it go, but I am not happy and would not recommend this man to anyone. I've been to Doctors in Mexico with more tact!

Rude. Condescending. Completely lacking any kind of bedside manner whatsoever. Made an awkward family situation infinitely more awkward with the "doctor's" complete inability to keep his ridiculous, irrelevant personal opinions to himself. Sat and listened in disbelief as he insulted my son's mother, my job, my company (of which he had no knowledge prior to asking where I worked), and then had the audacity to smugly suggest that I would "dip into" my son's prescription. All this after we had to reschedule an appointment and pull our child out if school a second time because they "misscheduled" us the first time. Very frustrated and now we hear our 14 year old son complaining about the way he was "touched" when out of our sight. RUN FAST AND FAR FROM THIS DUNGEON OF UNPROFESSIONALISM!!! Seriously considering an attorney after the conversation with our son. Unacceptable does not even begin to cover the experience we had in this office. Never again!!

Great clinical doctor. When he takes the time he gets it right! . I would ask that he could improve by listening to patients and their parents. Seems a little too quick to get you through the appointment. Take some time and address the questions and what the parent is telling you. I noticed an improvement in bedside manner recently, looks like he's on board for improving. Thank you doctor.

Staff is friendly and competent. He does not listen to you. I heard he was a great doctor but I found myself annoyed after the brief meetings I would have with him over one of my sick kids. We had some additional questions that we called the office about and they said he would call us. He never did. We moved on.

We saw Dr. Epstein once and immediately switched physicians. He does not listen to the patient or the parent. Bedside manners could use some improvement.

Dr. Epstein was my doctor when I was born and he then was my son doctor when I gave birth to my own. But dr. Epstein is a great doctor don't get me wrong but I don't think he takes the time to really really get to know the children. I think he has so many patients he can't remember everyone. But I don't think he always takes the time to really look at your child he kind of look over. Before seeing the doctor I wait 20-30 mins in the room every time. And then he doesn't spend that much time looking at my child as I say again. And there are some smart remarks he have made by the way you care for you child or when my mother came to the appts. with me he wanted her to shut up and let me talk but that wasn't his actual words. But he has been a cool and friendly doctor and if I wanted to make an emergency appt. I could come in that day if it was available. I also hate that if I'm calling for an appt. or nurse, they take 30-40 mins to answer the phone. But they are really friendly at the… office. All and all He is and Okay doctor like I said he has some flaws and some good.
