Told me to use almactic in which case damaged my skin

Excellent Dermatologist who cares about his patients well being.

Don't go to see Dr. Jay Heldman . I waited for this appointment for two weeks. He didn't do anything to really address my condition. He didn't even look at my skin condition until I asked him to look at my legs where the skin is very red and raw. He looked quickly and suggested Vit D cream. My consult with him was less than 10 minutes and then he was onto the next. I was processed.

I scheduled a visit to Dr. Heldman recently. He prescribed a $50.00 cream which was to help with a skin issue on my face. After several days of use My face was so red I looked like "Bozo the clown ". I Called his office qnd was told he does not speak directly with his patients but will answer questions via his assistant ! Real poor way to treat a patient who was to his office twice in a 7 week span.. Time for another dermatologist .

Ok. Where should I start ? Dr. Heldman was recommended to me by my primary physician when I had some strange condition with my skin on the legs. Reviews showed that he is reputable dermatologist so I schedule my appointment. Week later I saw the Dr. Heldman. The visit was short (I think I spent might be 10 min max, however I had to wait for good 40 min before my appointment (I was sharp in the office). The second visit was not any different than the first one. 3 visit - biopsy and prescription of hormonal cream. Nothing definite as a diagnosis. I am not sure what helped more - cream or the fact that I stopped flying long hours and capillary naturally healed. I am outrageous about my last call. I had a bee bite. After visiting ER in my company they applied some anti-histamine cream and gave me pills. But they recommended to see my dermatologist next day if the issue will remain. So the next morning when I barely was able to open my eye (the bite was in eyebrow) I called The Dr.… Heldman office. Explained the situation but however was offered appointment in 2 weeks !!!! WHAT ??? I thought that receptionist didn't get the idea that it is an eye and I need to see specialist NOW. And I am willing to wait for the opening in the office. Explained that one more time and ... the same response. She recommended me to see my primary physician .... I think this is ridiculous practice. Never ever again ....

As a wrestler, we tend to see our fair share of skin issues. Dr. Heldman has been amazing in treating several skin concerns I've had over the years. He also has flexible office hours so I can get there after practice.

Has been our family dermatologist for years. Spends time with me and my kids explaining diagnosis and treatment options. Wonderful dermatologist!

He was good - listened and explained every step. My husband has a small mold removed. Overall a good experience. The office building was easy to miss - it is right off the interchange. The office itself has a huge and comfortable waiting area.

Great Bedside manner. Dr. Heldman explains the diagnosis in layman terms & puts you at complete ease.

Caring, patient, knowledgeable. He is a prince of a doctor. I went to him yearly for 15 years and each visit was an actual pleasure. He is so gentle and caring.Unfortunately, this year he is no longer on my health plan and I am hardpressed to find Doctor like him.
