Dr. Jay Brandon Hill, MD

Biography
I'm a native Californian, born and raised in Garden Grove. I figured out that I wanted to be a doctor when I was in the third grade and never found anything to distract me along the way. I even knew back then that I wanted to be a kids' doctor. I love to spend my spare time with my family. I have eclectic tastes in music and am a fan of baseball and football (especially the Los Angeles Angels and Brigham Young University Cougars).

About my practice
As a pediatrician I believe my job is more than just dishing out medications to kids. I always try to help my patients' parents learn about what is going on with their kids and what can be expected. I feel that if I do my job well I can empower parents to learn how to raise healthy children who will thrive for many years after they leave home.

How I thrive
In my last year …of medical residency, I realized that I had been neglecting my health throughout my medical training. I ditched soda (I drink only water and milk now), started watching what I ate, and exercised at least five days a week; I continue to do so today. I jump at any chance to play a team sport (basketball, volleyball, softball, or football). I feel great and my waistline is much trimmer than it used to be.
