great all around DR if i moved out of state i would come to see him,very very caring listens to you always trying to do whats bests for you, and all the aprn, nurses and staff are awesome very proffessional staff all the time,

Dr. Kaplan is a wonderful person and a fine doctor, but his practice is terribly overbooked. Wait times are terrible.

My husband was a patient of Dr. Jay Kaplan's for 14 years. Dr. Kaplan was well acquainted with my husband's health history. My husband feel ill with extremely severe back pain which steadly grew worse over a 5 month period. Pain pills did not help and Dr. Kaplan did not want to prescribe them to my husband any more for fear he was abusing them, even though in the 14 years he treated my husband he knew my husband hated to take medication and rarely complained of pain. He also had in my husband's chart that my husband's father died of cancer and my husband's brother was battling cancer. Yet Dr. Kaplan never explored this road even as my husband's pain was uncontrollable and he steadly lost weight. I took him to another doctor who immediately could tell that my husband was in ill health and ordered blood work and tests. These tests resulted in a diagnosis of pancreatic cancer. He was immediately hospitalized to control the pain and add some quality of life. He passed away 6 months later.… My husband needlessly suffered excruiating pain because of what I call Dr. Jay Kaplan's lack of interest in treating him.
