Dr. Jay Jerome Kiessling, MD

Worked this Do Tor for a couple years. Excellent Doctor. Very pleasant to work for and with great personality. Very sincere and careing for his patients. Would recommend him highly

Wow, thank you Dr Kiessling for NOTHING! My mom spent time in St. Vincent hospital due to renal failure and needed to begin dialysis. Dr. Kiessling did her surgery to put her port in. NOT ONLY was he rude degrading, and "pissy" the entire time he spoke to us, but he put my mom's port in the WRONG PLACE!! So now, her dialysis isn't working. She has to go down to Pittsburgh to have it redone, so that her dialysis can be successful. What a joke this guy is. If you want a competent, compassionate doctor, then go see someone else.

Had vascular surgery on my leg. It became infected and he refused to admit that it was. i spent two months in the hospital dealing with infection after infection. During this time he only saw me 7 times. Never removed the dressing to look at the wound. Only after my family doctor insisted, did he finally clean the wound with surgery and placed a wound vac on my leg. After that he refused to see me anymore. I was then sent to a nursing home where i was given care there for three months. i would not recommend Dr. Keiessling to anyone for any kind of treatment.

Has repaired and reduced hernias and scars left by previous surgeries in such a way that I have only one noticeable abdominal scar. I have been able to obtain more abdominal strength in the past six months ( with the help of a trainer)at the age of 54, than I had after a C-section at 43. He really takes care of chronic belly pain too.

Not certain I would recommend Dr. Kiessling to any one at this point. Extremely skilled,heavy patient load, influenced by the "opinion" of his PA. 4weeks post op was told to return in 3 months for follow up and would discuss my return to work. 3 months later, when I returned and simply(or so I thought) inquired about the normalcy of an under the surface itching and pain, she ran with that. After two subsequent visits, I've been released from doctor's care by her, and still have no return to work....for which I will have to phone the office and talk to his EXCELLENT staff.
