Dr. Jay Paul Logeman, MD

I’ve had the same hernia procedure by this “doctor” TWICE! He didn’t fix it the first time (2003) had the procedure again in (2012). In my post-op appointment, the last time, he said that he STILL “didn’t get it”. When I started to feel discomfort and pain in the same area I went back to see him so that he could attempt to fix the issue. It took him forever to come into the room; the examination lasted all of 2 minutes. He said that a nurse would call me to set up a date for the operation. He NEVER called and then weeks later sent a packet to my home, that made no sense, telling me why I didn’t need the operation. So yes, I am getting a second opinion and I’m having a nice talk with the doctor who recommended this unprofessional.

What a great experience. I had an umbilical and ventral hernia which I was referred to Dr. Logeman to treat by my PCP. Dr. Logeman recommended the use of internal mesh and said he would use the DaVinci surgical robot to do the procedure. The same day surgery went very well and I was home that evening. The non-invasive nature of the surgery led to a very fast recovery, with the use of pain killers only the first 24 hours. By day three, I was driving, running errands, and having very restful night's sleep. Dr. Logeman is very professional and caring. He personally gave me a follow-up call the day following the surgery, which was a Saturday. He always said "God bless you," after each appointment. If I or any of my family ever have need for a General Surgeon again, Dr. Logeman will be my first phone call.

Dr. Logeman operated on my gallbladder about 20 years ago and now my husband has had the same surgery (just last friday) and Dr. Logeman was our doctor.He is a wonderful caring doctor. Before the surgery he had prayer with us for my husband's good being and God to help him in performing the surgery.I appreciate a doctor who can call upon our God in this time of direction.

Dr. Logeman is one of the most caring, knowledgable Physicians I've known. 10 years ago he assisted in my very complex Pancreatic Surgery, called the Whipple. 75% of people diagnosed with my cancer are dead within a year. I sent him an email a few weeks ago, asking if he could attend a Pancreatic Cancer Fundraiser on an early Saturday morning. He was very busy that morning, but still managed to attend. He is a very special Doctor, and human being.

I saw Dr. Logeman three times in the past two months. Dr Logeman was over an hout late for the first "consultation" for him to see the cyst that my family DR had already said needed to be removed. The consultation lasted less than 3 minutes and he stated exactly what my DR referred to him a for in the first place, which was the cyst needed to be removed. Dr Logeman then scheduled an over the top procedure in the surgery center where he is part owner and a member of the board of directors which he billed over $4000 for which included only local anesthesia and lasted about 30 minutes. Dr. Logeman probably said a total of 20 words or less to me during and after the procedure. The follow-up visit came two weeks later and Dr Logeman was going to be at least 45 minutes late for that appointment so after I complained his assitant volunteered to remove the stitches so I could get out of the office in a timely manner. My limited exposure to Dr. Logeman was impersonal and demonstrated that… I was merely a procedure and not a patient. The failure to keep appointments says to me that his time is more important than mine. His staff did an excellent job apologizing for him and trying to satisfy me but I was still very disgusted with the overall experience.I would not recommend DR Logeman to anyone who values their personal time and would like to be treated as an individual not just another procedure

i met dr.logamen a year ago he saved my life,i still am under his care.he has to be one of the best doctors that i have met.

Excellent surgeon, would recommend to all family and friends. Friendly, knowledgeable, and very good at what he does.

I dealt with Dr. Logeman 16 years ago when I first dealt with cancer. He was caring and compasionate and was willing to work with me on surgical details. When the cancer came back, there was no hesitation to contact his office again. His staff went out of their way to make things as uncomplicated as possible and followed up on everything to see how I was doing. He's simply the best.
