Dr. Jay Charles Long, MD

Absolutely the most arrogant doctor I have ever met. I felt very rushed to make decisions. I am self pay and it is a lot of money. I needed time to think about it. I just felt like he was more concerned about the money than of my health. His front staff did not seem very knowledgeable. He was super late and the staff was frustrated as well. The manager was super nice. She checked on patients regular to make sure we were informed. I didn't like the fact that he was so late and if I rescheduled, I lost my deposit.

I saw Dr. Long for a procedure I was interested in. He and his were pleasant. I scheduled the procedure. I ended up needing to reschedule 2 weeks prior to the scheduled date and he refused to reschedule. I cancelled.

Dr Long placed my gastric band in 2009 and removed it in 2018 when it had to come out. He and his staff supported me through the entire experience. He has also done two hiatal hernia repairs and a gall bladder removal for me. He is extremely skilled and knowledgeable in what he does. He is also compassionate, kind, easy to talk to, and makes every effort to decrease patient costs where possible. The staff are also excellent- kind, supportive, and willing to take that extra step to be of asssistance. I would return to Dr. Long for any additional surgeries should I need them.

Dr. Long is an amazing doctor and his staff is so friendly and helpful. Dr. Long never fails to sit down to speak to me, and explains everything thoroughly. A wonderful and caring doctor.

I love Dr. Long and his staff...especially Rhonda! Dr. Long always listens to what I have to say and will make sure I’m comfortable before he leaves the room. Awesome Doctor all around! Rhonda in the office has gone above and beyond and I appreciate that so much! That office is lucky to have her! I highly recommend Dr. Long and have referred him a lot and have had people actually use him!

I love ?? the staff at Doctor Long’s Office. They took great care of me during my reoccurrence of breast cancer. They treated me with lots of love ?? and care.

Dr. Long answered all my questions, even some negative outcomes were commented on. I found that he was extremely honest about the procedure and the risks that may occur. If I decide to continue and have the procedure, Dr. Long made me confident that he is a caring professional and has his patients best interest at heart,
