Dr. Jay Kumar Mehta, MD

I am a generally understanding, compassionate, unbiased person when it comes to my healthcare providers. However, I would never trust Dr. Mehta to deliver my child or to take care of me. I have severe hyperemesis, have lost more than 5 percent of my body weight, and the anti nausea drugs are not keeping me from being violently ill. Dr. Mehta laughed and said if I didn't start getting food down, he would have to admit me to the hospital. He suggested maybe it was a psychological cause, and gave me a script for an antidepressant. He laughed and said that I would get over it soon. Crying, gagging, and hoping to die, I left his office with no help, no answers, and no ability to function. I am not only putting my own life in jeopardy, but my unborn child's. I can't take care of my son and may lose my job, but he had no care and left after talking to me for 5 minutes, almost an hour after my appointment was set to begin.

He is an amazing Dr. I Expressed to Dr Mehta my hopes of having more children, when I was previously told I wouldn't ever have any more children. He made that dream a reality. When I went to him I had a 10 year old and after him I went on to have 3 more children. Forever grateful to him and his staff for taking care of me.

I went to this office, and waited in the waiting room for not too long, but then as soon as I was brought back to the exam room the wait became much longer. The nurse did vitals, and got a background very rudely where she was frustrated that I couldn't tell her much about the cancer in my family besides that it's on my mothers side because I am adopted. A month before getting pregnant my doctors ordered all the prenatal bloodwork as we were trying. That wasn't acceptable to her, and she made sure to make it known in a rude manner of not even looking at my papers. She then had me undress, and put the gown on, and that is when I waited for close to half an hour for Dr. Mehta to come in. When he came in the first thing I heard was only 1% of my pregnancies are twins. Not a real confidence booster. He then did the pelvic exam without explaining anything he was going to do. I later met with him in his office where the nurse butt in when I was explaining the prenatal bloodwork just done, and… how I didn't wan it repeated. I got sent home with repeat bloodwork that I just had done, and left upset from the rudeness of the nurse, and the lack of confidence from Dr. Mehta. I then canceled all my appointments with them, and found a new OB to carry out my twin pregnancy confidently.

NO POST OPERATIVE COMPLICATIONS, VERY KNOWLEDGABLE
