Dr. Jay Morgenstern, a 1983 graduate of Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, has practiced in the Boston/Brookline area for the past 22 years.
Dr. Morgenstern has spent his entire career learning skills to help patients achieve a healthy and attractive smile in the most comfortable way possible. In 1985 he went back to Tufts Dental School as a clinical Instructor in removable prosthetics, and after being promoted to Assistant Professor of Clinical Dentistry in 1990 he continued to teach until the end of 1995. Dr. Morgenstern continues to guest lecture at both Tufts and Boston University Dental School’s continuing education department.
Throughout his career, Dr. Morgenstern has lectured locally and nationally on cosmetic dentistry, teeth whitening, practice management, and finance. Teaching has always been as important to Dr. Morgenstern as learning and he has consistently exceeded the recommended continuing education requirements.
Dr. …Morgenstern is most proud of his continued education in orthodontics and growth and development. Finding his passion in orthodontics, he has participated in many mini-residency programs taught by the top educators in the world. He has been trained in the most advanced non-friction orthodontic system available, the Damon Bracket System, and is certified with Invisalign clear-braces straightening system.
Dr. Morgenstern personally knows what his patients are feeling, having been a hockey player is entire life and enduring many dental injuries. Having had a full mouth dental reconstruction with crowns, implants, and bridges, he fully empathizes with his patients’ fears and comfort and has developed his personal techniques to make dental treatment easier, including his legendary three step numbing technique that makes receiving anesthesia nearly undetectable and pain free.
Dr. Morgenstern is a member of the ADA, Mass Dental Society, International Orthodontic Association, American Association of Orthodontics and Tufts Alumni Association.
