Here is an example: "This is not a real patient history but is an individual with a significant psychiatric disorder who posts multiple false reviews and who is the subject of litigation for posting and then reposting multiple fraudulent reviews." Spend some time reading the negative reviews. Then return to the latest pages and spend some time studying the dozens of positive reviews -- reviews whose timing, character and appearance, in my opinion, suggest they were posted by the same person, or persons, in an attempt to bury the negative reviews. Notice how the titles of some of these so-called reviews are similar, and in some cases even identical. Notice the errors in spelling and syntax. (I would expect that patients so delighted with their doctor would at least pay him the respect of using the correct spelling of his… name.) Errors like these suggest they were written by people who can barely speak English. What best explains this? Did Dr. Pensler run a special coupon for ESL students? Or perhaps is it more likely that these "reviews" were written by the kind of people who scratch a living writing phony reviews at $5 a pop on websites like Fiver.com? You can probably guess what I think. First of all, I think we know that Dr. Pensler reads these reviews. Second, I think what this looks like is that Dr. Pensler decided that if he couldn't beat'em, he'd join'em. I think that if he isn't directly behind the posting of these obviously phony reviews, then he knows about them and chooses to let them remain posted without response. In other words, I think Dr. Pensler is either guilty by commission, or guilty by omission. Either way, I think the public can now safely add "fraud" to the list of derogatory words that describe Dr. Jay Pensler. Just one more thing. I ask the publishers of this website to consider letting Dr. Pensler's glaringly phony positive reviews remain posted just as they are. In my opinion, they are the best proof we have of the depths to which unscrupulous plastic surgeons will sink in order to keep their plastic surgery rackets alive.

Here's a little exercise I'd like to offer the plastic surgeon seeking public to aid the decision making process. As you read Dr. Pensler's glowing reviews, try placing yourself in the mind of a surgeon who 1) gets called a "butcher" by some of his patients, 2) sues those patients, 3) scuffles with news crewmen in his office building lobby (cf. Youtube), 4) sues a news station, an investigative reporter, an executive producer, and even the attorney of one, or more, of his patients. In other words, try placing yourself in the mind of a surgeon who, when patients complain and push comes to shove, behaves, in my opinion, like a bull in a china shop. Now take a piece of paper and draw a scale ranging from 1 to ten. Next, with 1 indicating extremely unlikely and 10 extremely likely, circle the number that indicates how likely you would be to trust such a bull with a scalpel. Now publish your score wherever you like. The First Amendment needs regular exercise, too, or like any muscle it… tends to get flabby.

After you’re done reading the glowing reviews, make sure you read “Plastic Surgeon Sues Over ‘Frankenstein Breats’ Review”. Pensler sued three of his patients who said things online that he didn’t like. Also look for videos that show Pensler in confrontations with news reporters. In one video he goes after a reporter in the lobby of his office building.

I saw Dr. Pensler for a bilateral gynecomastia operation, and I couldn’t be any happier about my entire experience with him and his staff! When I met with him for my consultation, he was extremely easy to talk to, and he was very informative and helpful with explaining the operation. He even showed me a variety of before and after picture so I would have a reasonable idea of what to expect after surgery - that’s when I really knew I wanted Dr. Pensler to do my surgery. The before and after pictures he showed me were absolutely incredible! I remember thinking that a lot of the after pictures looked like they never even needed surgery in the first place, the results were so flawless. The morning of my operation, I was definitely nervous - I mean, who wouldn’t be. Once I met with Dr. Pensler and his fabulous nurse Laurie, however, they were so incredibly welcoming and they went out of their way to make sure I felt comfortable and confident. Nurse Laurie was a fountain of knowledge and… helpful tips for a successful recovery after the operation. It was very helpful, too - I remember after the operation when I was at home, I was constantly remembering “Okay, what did Nurse Laurie say to do…” and all of her advice was wonderfully helpful. Once I was in the operating room, Dr. Pensler and Laurie spoke with me about stories from medical school, they asked about what I did for a living, so on and so on...just really nice coffee talk to help ease my nerves before the surgery. Before I knew it, I was out like a light - and I was coming back to reality what felt like three seconds later. I remember there being slight, slight pain in my chest immediately after surgery, but it was totally bearable. The night after my surgery, there was definitely some swelling and some soreness, which is definitely expected, but it was never unbearable at any time. I sat down in a recliner for the night with some ice packs, and I got up occasionally to get some water or to eat dinner. Over the next few days, I was able to go on some nice walks through the neighborhood with very little discomfort - honestly, the only discomfort I experienced was the swelling beneath the compression vest. I considered myself lucky that’s the only discomfort I had, though! I never had any real pain at all, thank goodness! A lot of that I attribute to Dr. Pensler’s surgical techniques - he is truly a master at what he does. I am about a month and a half out from my surgery right now, and I couldn’t be happier with my results. I find myself purposely going to the mirror and lifting my shirt at least 9 or 10 times a day, just to make sure that the results are still there, as if I’m afraid the fabulous results are just going to disappear - they’re still there, though! If you are ready to have this operation done, do not hesitate at all to go forward with Dr. Pensler - you will not have any regrets whatsoever. A fabulous doctor, an incredible staff, really amazing surgical results, and all for a very agreeable price. You really cannot go wrong at all choosing Dr. Pensler as your surgeon! PS - For those of you browsing through a lot of reviews, I remember originally being concerned that some reviews mentioned that Dr. Pensler and his staff “don’t care about you” once he is paid and the surgery is over. Some people mentioned that after their surgery, Dr. Pensler was very rude and didn’t want to help them anymore - this is not true at all. Dr. Pensler was incredibly helpful after my surgery, and he answered all of the e-mails that I sent to him with questions about my recovery. He and his staff were also incredibly friendly and more than helpful during all of my follow-up appointments at his office. So, if you’ve seen reviews along those lines as well, be sure to take them with a huge grain of salt!
