Dr. Jay Elliott Rissover, MD

Returned for follow up on treatment. My condition has improved some but there’s still a lot of need for improvement. He was dismissive, rude, and even raised his voice at me. He treated me like a child and that my symptoms weren’t real. He went to the hallway and began whispering to staff about me. I will not be returning.

Does not listen even to the point where he tells you about the origin of the problem, dismisses concerns, would rather smugly laugh than answer medical questions, and was more happy to identify something new than care that he was exacerbating the issues that the patient came in for. Never seen a doctor so happy to make a patient cry. He's clearly very knowledgeable but no amount of knowledge can make up for the complete lack of bedside manner.

The doctor does not listen to what the patient is saying. This has occurred on several visits. Looking to find another doctor after twenty plus years such a shame!

Dr. Rissover actually listens to your concerns and cares about your health.

Dr. Rissover is excellent. I have been seeing him for some time now.

As per the other review, terrible bedside manner. I am leaving his practice.

Dr Rissover at first seemed nice and though. However when I began to have issues he did not explain them well. He wrote things down that he did not tell me and this affected my insurance coverage. He was patronizing and seemed rushed. His social skills are awkward which I do not mind but I left his practice feeling like he was a jerk and tired of being treated like a child from a doctor that did not listen or care.

Dr. Rissover is an excellent physician. He is warm, caring, and you never feel rushed. He really knows his patients. He's been our family doctor for years, and I've recommended him to friends. His staff is also very friendly and helpful.
