Dr. Jay Elliot Weissbluth, MD

We have all seen Dr. Weissbluth individually..my son had severe and intractable stomach, and esophogeal pain, and more. Dr. Weissbluth and staff were amazingly kind, and expertly problem solved, even accepted a suggestion I made - Dr. Weissbluth's attitude is the more info the better..so unusual among MD's..My son is doing great now ..and we wouldn't go anywhere else. . I was cured of Hep C because of Dr. Weissbluth's persistence and up to date and expert knowledge, and my husband who has multiple health issues has been treated with such kindness, and care. He is top notch but even more rare he really cares about the health of his patients and won't give up until his patients are better. We also had our colonoscopies through Dr. Weissbluth..easy breezy..he takes such time to explain the results. May he practice until 120..!!!

Dr Weissbluth is a very kind, nice doctor. His staff is wonderful. I had a procedure at his surgical center on Avenue P and I have to say everyone there..nurses, anesthesiologisy and all assistants were extremely attentive and compasssionate. All personnel introduced themselves by name and had a smile on their faces. Very refreshing from what goes on in other offices.

I found Dr. Weissbluth to be one of the best doctor's I ever went to. He has a wonderful sense of humor which made me feel comfortable when I had to go for a procedure I had to have. His office staff were very helpful in telling me what I needed to do for a test I went for. When I had a Endoscopy done and I had some trouble afterwards, he went above and beyond to help me.

He is open to questions, comments, and really cares about his patients' progress and health..My son had an intractable stomach ailment..not only did he and his staff try to get to the bottom of things and arrange tests super quickly but when we put our son on a special diet because all the meds did not completely resolve things..Dr. Weissbluth was so supportive of this diet, of our son, of us..always interested in how things turned out..AND not a trace of the usual MD ego involved. TOP recommendation..and so very knowledgeable.! Very, very rare!

I have so much respect for Dr. Weissbluth. He is ethical, compassionate, brilliant, and has a lot of common sense.He cares about the patient, not how to make more money.He has respect for family members who act as medical proxy. He knows my mother and me,based on helping her during a hospital stay after being hand-picked by our doctor who sought the best,most sensitive GI doctor,for her at that hospital. He was, as he is now, very caring,and patient-oriented.He spent a long time back then, as he did now, with me,(I'm the next of kin)discussing her history,her family history,any change in symptoms,and medical test results.He made his medical decision on how to proceed, based also on her other health issues,such as cardiac,and consulted and independently reviewed test results from all her doctors.They all know and respect him.He reached his decisions and called me back and further explained the medical basis for each part of his decision.His decision(s)were not based on how much money… he could earn from procedures, but rather he weighed what was best for my 80 year old mother, and whether procedures would cause more harm than good and if they were even necessary .Her personal physician,who knows him well, will be asked to call him if ever there is any change in her symptoms.I again , as last time,am so impressed with this doctor,a real humane human being,and his staff is very nice and helpful too.I highly recommend him and am grateful we were referred to him in the first place.If only all doctors could do the right thing as he does.
