Dr. Jayanthi Chopra, DDS

I am really surprised that this dental practice has good reviews. I have never provided a poor review but I don't know what to do at this point. I made an appointment for a tooth extraction. I was told that the office did not take my insurance but they would file the claim on my behalf. I understood that I would be required to pay for the services upfront which I did. The amount changed from what I had been quoted but I did not argue with this. After 6 weeks I had not received reimbursement from my insurance so I called and was told that the payment was made to the dentist. I then called Beachside Oral Surgery and was told that it takes a while for them to reconcile their payments. It is now December 22nd and I have not received any payment. My appointment was during the first week of September. I have called and left messages but no one from this office has returned my calls. They received payment by me and insurance and have refused to reimburse me. When they said they would submit… my claim to insurance I was not told they would receive that payment as well as my full payment. My only recourse now is to file suit against the dentist. I do not recommend this practice.

I had a bad experience with another oral surgeon in the area in terms of discomfort/pain during an extraction. Dr Chopra was very professional and quick in getting my current problem fixed. Probably helps that she is the only female oral surgeon in the county.
