Dr. Jayasankar Kaluvapalle Reddy, MD

My 80+ year old mother recently moved to Lawton and needed to see a nephrologist. I attended the appointments with Dr Reddy and my mother via FaceTime since I am out of town. My mother had had a small stroke about a year ago and while recovered, sometimes takes a little longer to answer questions. During the consultation Dr. Reddy talked over her and seemed to be in a hurry. He would ask a question and then start to answer it himself before she was able to provide her own response. I interrupted several times so to give my mother an opportunity to answer the question or when needed to answer for her. He was thorough with testing, but when she had a "small infection" he said that they would not treat it and see it if would clear up on its own...it did not. After 3 visits of this behavior, we chose to go see someone else.

Dr. Reddy was wonderful when my 85 yr old father was unexpectedly admitted to the hospital with different ailments. He took the time to make sure my father and our family understood his condition and the treatment that it would require. At the follow up visit, Dr. Reddy was again very thorough in his examination of my father and again explained to us the ongoing treatment that would be necessary. He was very easy to talk to and in my opinion is one of the best doctors in Wichita Falls.
