A very big displeasure working with her, I can't believe she is a doctor with how much hate she has towards people she is supposed to help. I would not trust my family member to be treated by her,

Spoke to this doctor on the phone for a critical lab from an external facility, she wanted information that we did not have in the system so I simply let her know, she called me an expletive "Said you are an A**hole" and then hung up the phone. This conversation did not warrant that and I was simply relaying information.

Dr. Gurtler is the best. I first saw her in March 2005 after I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. You are in great hands if she is your doctor.

Rudest doctor I have ever been to! I could not believe how heartless a person she was. Every visit..... without being asked..... she told me how long I had to live. After every visit, I felt hopeless. Best thing I ever did was to switch doctors. Run, don’t walk away from this doctor!

I saw Dr Gurtler while I was suffering from melanoma that wasn’t responding to treatment at MD Anderson. She persisted until she was able to get me in a pharmaceutical study at MDA to which my cancer ultimately. responded positively. Because of her getting me in the study which only had 14 patients, I’m now cancer free. I owe my life to Dr. Gurtler and have never been treated by a kinder, more caring and competent physician anywhere.

If she is your Doctor, you are in good hands.

I first met Dr Gurtler in 1995.....no one wants an oncologist but if you need one this is the person to see. The only reason I gave 3 stars for promptness is that you may have to wait but if you need her for 3 hours that is what you get. I now see her yearly and I know I am still here because she not only provided medical treatment but the psychological strength to go through my cancer journey with a positive attitude. She is truly an Angel here on Earth and a staunch advocate for her patients.
